Question about Post Op ADHD meds
I would also like to add that you need your psychiatrists help in stopping that type of medication. You need a professional to help you stop taking that type of medication. Plus, as someone said above, your surgery does not help or address your ADHD concerns. I would call your prescribing doc and talk to them. Good luck!

Energy
It will get better. It took me the better part of 6-7 weeks to finally feel like I didn't need a nap every day. I was struggling to get in enough calories and fluids mused with healing, I NEEDED a nap every day. Lol Now, at 11 weeks tomorrow, I still only get in 550-800 cals a day ( which is still liw)but I am definitely not as exhausted. Hang in there, it will get better!

Feeling discouraged.
That first week is crazy hard :/ I was able to start drinking the clear liquid proteins as soon as I got home from the hospital. So it might be worth a call to make sure you are totally understanding their plan. Sugar free Popsicles and Jello helped me. Unfortunately, that clear liquid phase is a part of the process you just have to get through. I remember feeling crazy hungry that first week, now I have to set a timer to eat otherwise the day goes by and I've hardly eaten a thing. Just hang in there and know this too shall pass!

Calorie Intake?
I'm almost 10 weeks out and my nut said they want me at 1000 cals by 3 months. I'm struggling to hit 600-800. She also told me at that low number of cals, working out isn't wide because there isn't enough fuel to compensate and that exercising would be counter productive at that cal amount. So I would guess for you that you should try bumping up your cals by eating more protein (or drinking it) and stick to your workout schedule. Keep up the great work!

Issues Eating certain foods?
I'm almost 10 weeks out and me and eggs, plain water, broccoli, and ice are not friends anymore. All of those are things I could eat before surgery with no problem. Now, not so much. But everyone is different.

Drinking difficulties?
I am almost 10 weeks out and can't drink anything cold. I found room temp Gatorade g2 to work really well, hot tea with truvia and warm/hot water. It's weird drinking warm stuff in the summer but it is what it is, if your tea has caffeine, then you could very likely dehydrate yourself. Plus the real sugar can upset your tummy. At least my tummy doesn't care for it at all. Good luck and keep trying different things!

One year since my surgery!
Awesome! Congrats on your first year and all the amazing success you have had!!

Full Liquids
I started milky protein shakes and yogurt by day 6. Just take it slow and stop if you are feeling ill. I personally had a heck of a time with the clear stage. Once I started drinking regular protein shakes, the food dreaming waned a bit. Good luck!!

Averaging 400 cals/day GAINING WEIGHT!
I use the premier protein shakes. They have 30g of protein and 160 cals, which it sounds like you would benefit from both right now. You can get them in a 4 pack so if you don't like them, it's not that horrible. I find mine at Meijer and Kroger.

Skin firming cream pre & post op
Well if you use the body wraps, I put Saran Wrap around them. But no one is allowed to promote any biz on here. :/

***WARNING*** PLEASE READ
I have had this problem quite often since surgery. I am one of the "lucky" ones that cannot tolerate plain water. And typically I hate fake sugar anything. I am also a photographer and spend long days walking in the sun with my clients. Since surgery I have had to carry a Gatorade G2 with me every where I go and drink all day long. Otherwise I become crazy sick and dizzy and my leg muscles cramp. I have never been a fan before but now I have no choice. :/

Consequences of no protein
I find the premier at Meijer and Kriger. Once in a while there is also a coupon for them in the paper.
