Wondering how often I should.eat another bite, would a spoon every 5-10 minutes be too much? Finding it really hard to get my fluids in. I'm 2 days post op.

Check hospitals that do bariatric surgery, mine has unjury in gift shop cheaper than buying online, or you can buy it online just google unjury. -

just thought I would post a status update on my sleeve surgery. everything went pretty good. I should be going home tomorrow, I'm on full liquids now chicken rice soup was delicious, so was hot cocoa, oddly the chocolate pudding did not taste too appealing, heaven forbid I end up not liking chocolate anymore.Have pain in incision sites, doctor knicked my liver, but said it was not uncommon. Most pain is gas and incisions. I'm glad he didn't have to switch to open, he said I am doing super g...

At the hospital now and am on full liquids, they sent up a really good cream of potato soup. They liquified it for me and tasted just like mashed potatoes and gravy. Cream of chicken and rice soup liquified taste just like chicken dumplings. Mmm. -
Well since being sleeved monday morning I've lost about 20 pounds, I think it was from the saline solution iv plus having catheter, lost a lot of water weight. But have been walking some and only eating 100 or 200 calories a day. Plus how ever much half a stomach weighs lol. I was 645 monday, now scale says 619.

Still at hospital, will be home tomorrow though.

Doing great incision sites still hurt a lot but mostly only when I turn to get in or out of bed. Gas pain is a little less. -

Not really I have some left chest pressure and the gas hurts quote a bit and my incision sites are sore like doing 5000 ab crunches. I've only tried really small sips though I'm so thirsty I could chug a gallon if I had the capacity. How many laps do they have you walking? I did 2 last night, and 6 today. They want me at 10 though think I will be able yo do 10 tomorrow.

Sorry you feel so bad I'm on day 2 postop while I have a lot of pain I haven't been sick yet, though the barium almost made me blow chunks... Anyhow hope you feel better.lets rock this sleeve. -

Thanks for all the kind words. My abs hhrry like hell where he cut through the muscle. Just.did.my.first. 2 laps in a row. Leak test went ok so now had first food. Definitely dont have much of an appetite. Gas still hurts a bit feel better than yesterday though. Wishing next week would hurry up and get here. Can't wait to get home and get clearance to go swimming, then I'm really gonna start rocking.- 68 replies

Well, I'm back sorta they will be moving me out of icu today. In a lot of pain and discomfort gas plus muscle and tummy pain, but I guess thats normal. Was only able to do 2 laps yesterday and it was rough. Haven't tried food yet, doing barium test in an hour, then if that goes well clear liquids. Hows everyone else doing who was sleeved yesterday? -

This us ungodly. Yes I watch greys anatomy and know surgeons work ungodly hours, but that is emergent care surgery. Why would anyone chose 6am surgeries for pre scheduled... I'm so not a morning person! T minus 1h:30m till I have to be at hospital.
