  1. I understand what you are going through! I feel the same way. I try to think positive and believe that everyday post op, we are getting better. My relationship with food and soda was the only relationship that I had complete control over (so I thought). Both of us are on the way to building a new relationship with food but in the meantime, we have our fellow sleeve friends! We r almost there!!!!

100% Wheat Tortilla pizza YUM YUM

oh, I forgot to mention. I added Ragu Pizza sauce on top too. YUM YUM! Tasted really good. I am looking for receipes with lighter meats. I am finding that I am loosing my appetite for the heavy meats like chicken, etc. Anyone else have some good receipes with light meatt?
  3. I made pizza today and ate it, yum yum! Well, it was a modified version. I had a slice of 100% wheat tortilla and put cheese and peperonni on it. I baked it in the oven and it was delicious! Alot of people say they avoid carbs, was this a no no?

    Solid Foods

Able to eat solid foods on Wed. Can anyone tell me what they started eatting when able to eat solids? I'm a little scared but happy at the same time. I am craving pistachio nuts, do you think I can eat them?
  5. I just sent you a personal message and then I came across this post you sent. OMG, I can't believe this!!!! I am soooooo sorry to hear this. I have definitely heard that you can get a blood clot after surgery (any surgery this is a risk). My sister developed multiple blood clots after a surgery she had for her gallbladder. I have not heard of the pancreatitis, I wonder what caused this? I will defintely be praying for you! Please keep me updated on what is going on whenever you can!

    Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner/Snacks

Hi- read your post and what you eat sounds reasonable. Who was your dr and what % of your stomach was removed and/or bougie size? I am 2 weeks postop and I hope I can eat normal like you. I don't want to eat like a mouse for the rest of my life. Oh, how many weeks/months post op are you?
  10. Wild journey it is, to say the least! Much wilder than I anticipated. Love your positive attitutude, need some of it for myself!
  11. Planner girl- Welcome abourd, we are happy to have you be one of our friends. When did you have your sleever? It really helps talking to people going through similar exeriences at the same time. MicNik- Yes, the hardest part is the emotional part. I hope and pray that this fades and I can soon say, this is the best decision I have ever made and I have no regrets. However, I can honestly say, I am not at that point yet. The anxiety and depression is getting to me, really bad! It doesn't help much to have a husband that eats anything and everything without gaining weight. Today he ate donuts while I was in the same room, I was upset, should I be? How am I going to deal with everyone eatting and I can't? I am suppose to go back to work tomorrow; however, I just do not have the energy yet. I am feeling better and better, but I am just not there yet.
  12. Just curious, do you know what % of your stomach was removed? I see many people say their doctor removed 85%; however, I was reading in a notebook my doctor sent me home with that he removes 75% of the stomach. Anyone know what difference this can make? I wonder if this can affect the amount of food you eat?
  13. Thanks MiNic for checking in. I am not nearly as sore anymore. I can get up and walk around; however, I do tire easily still. I think it is because i am not getting enough Protein. These Protein drinks make me want to GAG and I become nauseous. I even went out yesterday and purchased nectar protein drinks which everyone is complaining about. I tried it and YUK, felt like I was going to puke! PLEASE PLEASE if anyone has any ideas about protein, let me know. I want my life and energy back. As far as moods, I am still very emotional, crying nightly, wondering if I made the right decision. Anyone else feeling this way still?
  14. Thank you soooo much !!!!! This information was very helpful! Your portions seem more normal, when were you able to start eatting these portion sizes? Sorry for all of the questions and thank you for all of your help with taking the time to post this information.
  15. Thank you! Where do you get nectar from?
