  1. missyr, I had similar problems. I am 3 1/2 weeks out and I had swelling for the first two weeks. I had trouble keeping anything down and had to be put back in the hospital for dehydration. They gave me two rounds of steroids and FINALLY the swelling went down. Just know that it will pass and in the meantime, you will lose weight! I know it is miserable not being able to eat or drink. I drank Vitamin Water, a few sips at a time throughout the day and had some chicken broth twice a day. It was heavenly when I could finally have something thicker, like tomato soup and chocolate pudding! Get lots of rest!
  2. How difficult was it for any of you to urinate on the day of your surgery? How long did it take some of you? thanks
