  1. Thank you Gary. I can't wait.
  2. Hello Everyone! I am a newbie. I have been considering WLS for a long time and decided it was best for me. I started my journey 2 yrs. ago and have hit so many stumbling blocks... I started off with Kaiser, and was able to complete half of their program before my hubbys company dropped Kaiser as an insurance option for us...so we ended up with Aetna..I have completed everything they required for my surgical consultation...during that time I went from want RNY to DS.. My insurance covers all WLS..unfortunately/fortunately there is no surgeon who does DS in our medical group, so I have decided the sleeve is the best option for me. (it is not what I eat, but how much I eat) the malabsorbtion of DS scared me. I have been approved and I am waiting for a date. I was worried that with Vsg I wouldn't lose enough weight, but figure any loss is a good start in the right direction.. So.. my question is for the heavier vgs people.. I am 5 11 325lbs, is there a good chance I can make it to my goal of 180?? Dr. says prob not, but I could lose 75-80 lbs..( he is suggesting RNY) So any advice or info. would be greatly appreciated! I am so ready this, I am so tired of being like this!
