  1. I'm wondering how I'm going to do this too, especially the whole "small sips of water all day" thing. I work graveyard in the lab, 10 hour shifts. We get 2-15 min breaks and a 30 min lunch. In reality I'm lucky to get 2 breaks. It's going to be a PITA to unglove/ungown/wash everytime I need to get a drink of water. I guess I will cross that bridge when I come to it. I'm thinking of telling my supervisor that I just need more, smaller breaks.
  2. See, this is what worries me about having the sleeve done in Mexico. Seriously, what is everyone doing for aftercare? Are you supposed to go back to Mexico for your 3/6/9/12 month checkups? What about labs and stuff? Has anyone found docs who are willing to take on their aftercare? This is a HUGE issue.
  3. I just asked that same question to my Patient Coordinator yesterday. I'm just getting started and I have to complete a 6-month diet & nutrition program per my insurance requirements. I was told that the BMI my insurance goes by is my starting BMI...not what I will weigh in 6 months after dieting. I, too, can lose weight like gangbusters. I just can't keep it off. Of course, YMMV so you will have to check with your specific insurance provider.
  4. I wonder what the odds of Medicare approving it in the next 6-7 months is? I've just started the process and I have to go through a 6-month nutrition/weight loss thing for my insurance approval. I *really* want the VSG. There are too many things about the RNY that do not appeal to me. *crossing fingers*
