I am asking this question because people keep asking me "what is your goal" I have no idea!!!! am 5 ft 8, started off at 245 pounds and now 50 pounds down, but what am i supposed to be heading for, have had people tell me you are a large black woman so you can't be less than 180 pounds but if i go according to BMI scales, my maximum weight should be 164 for a max BMI of 25, any ideas anyone? i carry a lot of weight around my middle and this is where it is not budging from yet.

i don't really track my calories, i find it so time consuming, i think i get in 700-1000 cal/day but can't be sure, i am exactly 4 months out and down 50pounds, i have trouble eating and drinking period so i figure why bother keeping track of calories since i am sure i don't eat enough to gain in the first place. i exercise daily and plan to start paying more attention as i try to get rid of this last 25 pounds.

enjoying this whole exercise thread, am still struggling with a lack of desire to engage in exercise but all these posts are very encouraging.

I am 3 months out and down 41 pounds so far but i haven't lost any in almost 2 weeks!!!!! i am close to a mental breakdown if i don't start seeing a drop soon, someone please tell me this is temporary!!!!!!

most likely a combination of gas, nausea and heartburn? it took me a good 6 days before i started to feel halfway normal, i tried to walk it off, ate ice chips and sugar free popsicles and eventually felt better, hope this helps.

i was revised from band to sleeve a week ago, unfortunately they did not follow the old scars, there are new ones just above or below the old, but i really dont care, its the least of my worries.

hi dana67, i was revised from the band to sleeve on the same day and went back to work 9 days later, I am an RN in a busy ICU so the first day was a little tiring but i adjusted quickly, the biggest challenge was that i was still on clear liquids so getting enough nutrition to keep working was difficult, I had to keep sipping on my protein juices the whole night, i wish i had taken another week off.

I am 8 days post op and definitely going through the mourning process, I was a comfort eater and I do miss that plus I miss the social aspect of hanging out and eating with friends, definitely will have to find healthy ways to fill the void.

I drink the isopure protein juices, which has 40g protein in a 20 ounce. reduced sugar apple juice, ice tea , sugar free Popsicles and jello, I have no idea if I am getting all my fluids but I can not tolerate anything else, my gas was gone by day 5. They all hurt briefly going down but it's getting less, my energy level is very low still, I get tired very quickly.

I tell anyone who will listen, their opinions are irrelevant.

I literally dont care what anyone thinks, i tell anyone who will listen, some people have expresssed opinons that they dont think i should do it but i havent had anyone be mean to me, but they probably wouldnt go there anyway because they know i would give it right back. i leave tomorrow morning to be sleeved by dr aceves in mexico and i cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had my band done by dr aceves in 2008, because my experience was excellent I plan to go to him for my sleeve next year too, am sure some other surgeons are cheaper but am going to go with tried and tested.
