  2. I couldn't find ANY premade protein drinks that I could tolerate post-op. I used Atkins before surgery but they were way too sweet post op. Now I mix up my own with EAS soy protein powder in vanilla (it's higher in calories so I will use 1/2 a scoop if I'm getting close to my limit), 8 oz of skim milk, and 1 TBS of sugar free pudding mix. I use lemon, pistachio, cheese cake, banana cream...what ever I'm in the mood for. I get 28 gms of protein from one of these shakes (18 if you use 1/2 scoop of the EAS). AND! if you get an ice cream maker you can dump it all in and have PROTEIN ICE CREAM in 30 minutes! I've tried all kinds of protein and this is the only one I like. The sugar free pudding mix makes all the difference in the world to me. Good luck!
