Thank you tiffykins for the information and the boost I needed to stay with my decision of having the sleeve. My surgery isn't until April but the more I read the more doubts I had about my choice. Then I found this site. It is wonderful!! The people have great advise. Thank you again. I will keep you posted....

Hi! I am new here. I am suppose to get my surgery in April. I do not have an offical date yet. I have been to my all day evaluation, had blood draw done, and started a diet given by dietician. Today is my 5th day on the diet. Sunday will mark one week. By my scale I have lost 2lbs. Hopefully more will come off before my next appointment in March. I have decided to have the vertical sleeve gasterotomy done. Just trying to collect as much information as I can before surgery. Hopefully my approval will come soon.. I know be patient as my mom would say..:w00t:

:001_smile:Just wondering some advise. I am going to have my surgery in April and I think I have decided on the sleeve but I was wondering if people thought the RNY was better. I want to loose 160lbs. Any advise? Feelings to make me feel better about my decision?
