  1. I am about a week post-op and have started having this rumbling in my stomach. It sounds like hunger rumbles but I am not sure. I don't really feel hunger. Honestly, I don't know what i feel because it is all so new to me. Have any of you that have been sleeved longer experienced this? Laura
  2. I am glad you posted this. Like you, I wasn't prepared for the amount of pain or discomfort I would have either. I am 7 days post-op now and feeling much, much better but I have to say those first 3 days were really tough and extremely painful. Good luck and glad you are home safe and sound now.
  3. Good for you Bambi!! You will feel better every day. I know that is how it is working for me. We are all in this together.l
  4. I am so glad you are home and doing well. My surgery was Monday. I have had a few more issues but nothing major. Thankfully it has all settled down and i am thrilled that I did this too.
  5. Well, Monday I did it. The surgery went well and I came home on Wednesday. Today is the first day I can actually say I feel ok which is wonderful to me. I am actually going to try to venture out to the post office for a few minutes.
  6. Thanks for all your kind words. I will post again after I get home on Tuesday. I am excited and can't wait to join the losers!
  7. I am scheduled to be sleeved tomorrow at 10:00 a.m. I haven't been the least bit nervous until today. Now I am just a bundle of nerves. My head hurts, my shoulders are cramped and I am scared. I know I won't back out. I have come too far and want this too bad. I am just nervous.
  8. You have made me feel so much better. Thank you so much. I am getting anxious/nervous, not really sure what word best describes how I feel. Mainly I am excited about the fact that I am actually going to lose weight. I'm not one who has ever really lost weight. I gained and have pretty much stayed where I am now. I go up and down 10 lbs and that is really about it. The fact that I am actually going to be able to lose the weight once and for all is almost overwhelming. Good luck to you and I can't wait until we see how we are all doing in the next few weeks.
  9. I'm on the 25th too. I am so excited but terrified at the same time myself so I know exactly where you are coming from. I never thought this day would come.
  10. I can hardly believe it is only 5 more days until my surgery. I have already lost weight on the pre-op diet so I am psyched about that. I have to admit that I did slip up some and eat some "real" food but I tried to make good choise with just protein and a bit of veggies. I hope I didn't screw anything up. I was just so hungry and couldn't stand the thought of another sweet shake at that moment. I am kind of worried about it and have promised myself that I will not do it again before the surgery.
  11. My favorite is the orange. It tastes like a dreamsicle. I also did the pomegranite-something or other and it was really good too. Anything for variety at this point.
  12. I am doing the blender thing too. I have also found that mixing Crystal Light instead of water in the vanilla really helps the flavor.
  13. What I wouldn't give for a small piece of chicken right now.:biggrin0:
  14. Hi there! I am scheduled for surgery the day before you with Dr. Kim. We are both in the DFW area so I wanted to be sure and say hi. I met with Dr. Kim already and absolutely loved him and felt very comfortable. I agree with you about being a cash patient. I am also and the whole process has gone very quickly. I am now on day 2 of my pre-op diet and it is getting a bit harder as the day goes on. The headache is starting to set in. Hopefully it does get better after today. Regardless, it is a necessity so we have to push through it. The end result will certainly be worth it.
  15. It almost seems unreal that I won't eat any solid food for so long. I am so ready to do this though I am going to stick it through out of sheer determination. The closest thing to "solid" food I can have on my pre-op diet is sugar free jello and I am definitely taking full advantage of that. It is nice to have some others going through this the same time I am. Thanks for your responses.
  16. I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself to everyone. I am scheduled for surgery on the 25th and started my pre-op diet yesterday. I am on Opti-fast and am not really thrilled with the flavor but am determined to stick with it. I am not nearly as hungry as I thought I would be but I have to admit I want to eat. I'm staying strong though because I want to loose as much before surgery as possible. My highest weight has been 237 but I weighed in yesterday at 230.
