  1. 50 lbs

Since January, I have lost 50 lbs. I still can't believe it. I would like to lose about 40 more, but 30 would be okay. I can't believe that in less than 10 lbs from now, I will be in the 160's! Crazy!
  2. I dropped 5 lbs this week after a stall that I thought would never end! I am down to 180.8! I haven't been this small since right after I had my daughter and I had post partum so bad that I never ate (not healthy!).

Diarrhea is here to stay for a while, I am afraid, but I can handle when I am seeing progress.

I took a day off of working out today (I work out 7 days a week) so that I could go to dinner with my very patient and kind hubby (He has been really great to me through this) and my kids. I had a nice filet and even a few pieces of potato. It felt great.

I am a solid size 12 and I keep buying clothes even though by mid summer they probably (hopefully won't fit!) But I wanted some nice things for our trip. We are leaving for a week at the beach in the morning.

I feel great and I am so happy this sleeve is doing its job! There were so many days where I did wonder if I had made the right decision! I think I did! :biggrin0: Yay me!
  3. A little update...

So I just keep stalling out at about 186.2 lbs. Well, sometimes it is 188, 187, 186, but never below. Well, even though I haven't lost much weight, today I got into size 12 pants. :sad0: Not just once, but over and over again in the dressing room. So I am losing inches, but today the scale moved again also.

I have learned that if I go 1g over my 30g limit of carbs a day, I will not lose. If I stay under 30g, I will lose every time. So thanks to Tiffy for all the advice-she is exactly right. 30g is a good limit.

So Saturday I leave to go on vacation for the third time in 4 weeks. :thumbup1: I am going to try my best to eat right every day while on vacay. We are going with a few friends (and they have no idea that I had surgery) so it is going to be tough.

I still have chronic diarrhea on a daily basis. I have tried plenty of remedies with no resolve. I guess it is just going to take time. When I told my doctor, he said "That doesn't have to do with the sleeve." :biggrin0: Honestly, why would the diarrhea start a few days after surgery? I have never experienced anything like this in my life!
  4. 3 weeks out

and the scale is moving again. I am down 32 lbs.

I have moved to mushies today and I seem to be tolerating it well. I had some ground hamburger with cheese earlier and it was really really good. I didn't put it in a blender like my doctor suggested. Instead I just chewed the hell out of it. Everything went down fine and I had no discomfort.

Some days are good, others not so good. Some days I feel great, others not so great. Mentally it is the same way. I just keep chugging on and hoping for it to feel better for days on end. I hope that it comes soon.:w00t:
  5. and I am down 25 lbs. I thought it was 23, but today on the wii fit it said 25. I will go with it. That does include the preop diet-so in 2 weeks I have lost 25 lbs.

Full liquids is hard for me. I am eating a lot of soup of course. I have to do this for 3 weeks. I will make it.

I am very pleased. At times I still feel some discomfort, but it is nothing I can't handle. I am very very happy to be sleeved!:001_tt2:
  6. I am doing great on my diet. I have lost 12 lbs now and I feel pretty good. I feel a little weak today. Earlier in the week, I felt great. I am not sure why I feel that way today. I am all preregistered at the hospital and I am going to start packing my bag tonight. My dad arrives tomorrow to help with the kids while I have the surgery and recover. The next week I will have a nanny here because my son is a BIG boy and he is only 14 months old. I just don't want to risk my progress by picking him up and something happening to injure me. Anyways, ONE MORE DAY! Yay! I am really excited!
  7. Day 1, Jan 18th, 2010

Today I started my pre op diet. It was okay. I started off with one chocolate shake from Dr. Myers. No problem. I had some water and then another shake. This time I had vanilla. This one didn't go down so well. I think I took my time and it had thickened towards the end. It just had this odd texture. I dumped 10% of it out. For dinner, I had the Chicken with noodles soup also from Dr Myers. Yuck. I ate probably 75% of it. After dinner I had one more chocolate shake. That only brought me to 370 calories for the day.

I'm hungry. I'm tired. I hope tomorrow is a better day. I did my measurements earlier, but they are downstairs. I will post them tomorrow.
  8. A little update on me!

Things are going well. I still have diarrhea like crazy-but my doctor and I are working on that.

I was stuck on a stall for the past few weeks hovering around 180. Up to 182, down to 180, up to 181, etc. This just so frustrating since I am working out like crazy. (I really enjoy it) I also watch what I eat, but I felt like I was slipping in that department. Nothing ever sounded good, so I would end up eating something I probably shouldn't have. (Nothing awful, but just maybe 20 more carbs than I had planned on)

So Monday I buckled down and started on protein shakes again. I have lost 4 lbs since Monday, so obviously it is working! I have one shake when I get up, a banana with peanut butter before I go running, another shake for lunch and then a sensible, protein filled dinner. It is working! So I will stick with this for a while and see how it goes. I am so glad the scale is moving again though!
  9. Day 2, Jan 19th, 2010

Today was a better day. I gave up on the Dr. Myers shakes and I moved to Muscle Milk Light. It has about the same nutrients, so I figure it is okay.

I had a shake when I got up, water in between, and another this afternoon, and then another this evening. Probably still not enough calories, but I feel satisfied. That is the hardest part-just feeling satisfied enough to not eat my hand off.

I put together the jogging stroller, so I am ready to walk when I get home. It is such a smooth ride! I am very pleased with it. :svengo:

On to day 3! I can do this!
