  1. Kabranda, I had to laugh about the 3 requirements to play golf and you are so right there. My husband and I and my daughter and ex played and my daughter and I drove a cart and proceeded to drink our way around the course with many bathroom brakes. We had the best time. I barely play. That could definitely be in your new healthy future. Tiffy, thank you for those pictures, I just love it down there and you are so lucky to live so close to the beach. Please don't kick your two men out for us though! If we have enough people we can stay in a couple of rooms or rental for the weekend. Don't know if that's doable or who else might want to come but what a great idea and lovely coast for a meet and greet! (Your son looks so cute and embarrassed at you guys kissing.) I'm going to two class reunions this summer, one in July and one in August. Lets talk more.
  2. I'm all for that, maybe get some more of us to meet up at a condo on the beach. Aren't there some from Jacksonville? We have to pull something together and I have always wanted to have a girls weekend trip. Linda
  3. I love that area and would love to meet up with you both if we can pull it off. Does anybody's significant/ DH play golf? The guys would have something to do while we gab or any suggestions?
  4. Yea Daisy, Glad you had a good time, hope many more!!
  5. Believe me, we all tempt ourselves occasionally, I read one person would take a bite of steak early out and just chew it and spit it out, desparate for some flavor and chewing! Please be careful doing this though, early out think of your stomach and its healing...don't compromise it. Get back on the program and put something in your mouth allowed and time will pass and you can have a healthy new life.
  6. Tiffy, That sounds great! Do you live near Eglin AFB? Isn't that near Pensacola? I went to school in Pensacola and loved that city. Anyway road trip coming up for sure!
  7. Jiggle butt! So funny Dee dee and I know you work out and dance so I must be looking at some serious work on mine!! I will keep on and let you know. My daughter runs and she complains also about her butt jiggling but she doesn't do any other exercise and sporadic at that. Buns of steel is my hope but hamburger buns is more like it for me.
  8. I am glad my husband went with me bc I don't remember so much...senior moments. It is a blur on certain things. My husband said that I told Dr. Aceves I didn't want to talk about my weight in front of him, maybe the goal weight but I do not REMEMBER that. I plead medication.
  9. Kabranda, I remember being scared the closer it got to S date and had to just hope all went well and have confidence in my doctor. I had my husband with me and thank goodness, he remembered what actually happened! I have NO regrets whatsoever, even with the first few days being rough with nausea, all forgotten. I am losing weight steadily, some weeks nothing and then on down 2-3 lbs. I have so much energy and work out easily. Go to the pool and lift weights no prob. Did you go to a local doctor? I wish you well and let me know if you have any questions.
  10. Norma, So glad to hear from you. Sounds like you are doing so well and happier for sure! Wonderful news about reducing your meds and back to normal with your knee surgery. Great news!
  11. Thank you all. Another question. I hate to say it but my butt is nonexistent, flat as a board and was wondering if I keep jogging will it help the ole butt? I can feel some tightness in the glutes now, but is there hope?
  12. Chancie, I was wondering about you and how you were doing and you look SO GOOD!! Amazing loss of weight and inches! Is your diet relaxed a little now and do you exercise? I just can't imagine losing all that in a year. I am so happy for you!
  13. Congratulations Booklady on returning to college and to have two victories when you reach your goal and graduate. Good for you! Don't be discouraged, first few days are rough for quite a few of us but it gets so much better. I am so glad I did this for myself and all these wishes everyone has put on here is seconded by me! Enjoy your journey.
  14. I just wanted to say that I jogged on my treadmill today for the first time! I am a 63 yo woman and don't think I have ever done that bf. I tell you I felt so good doing it and will continue this so I can enter a race with my daughter this summer for sure! I was floating..and sweating but didn't kill me!:wink0:
  15. I was not weighed, just thought of that. Don't remember discussion of what weight was my goal either.
  16. Hey Oregon, Hope you have a super dinner date!
  17. Hey, I am southeast of Huntsville, Meridianville is just around the corner. Glad to see you here. Have you had surgery yet? Keep in touch
  18. I am so sorry for the loss of Harley and you did the right thing not letting him suffer but it is so hard!! It is a shame that our pets don't live very long and we have to say goodbye so soon. I have buried many beloved pets and it still hurts so much. My prayers are with you and your family. Linda
  19. Cajun, I just kicked your jogger's butt for you!
  20. Good luck with your pressure issues, I'm sure your doctor can help you there, maybe put you on a 24hr holter monitor and check your rhythm. Good luck!
  21. Congratulations Mellaella and Lee! Hope all went well and you will soon be on your way losing with us. Keep walking and sipping!
  22. I like that AJW, right to the point and pertinent questions answered.
  23. Just to add another note for putting your complaint out there for the public. When you go online for a phone number, yellow or white pages, sometimes they have a place to rate this doctor. Its worth it to get the info out there for the public. The office staff needs to have some consequences for their poor treatment of you.
  24. My doctor used a 36, and I know there are others that have smaller, 34 I believe. I know the difference is very small when you compare. Good luck on your decision.

I will be seeing my mom and sister next month and have not told them beyond that I have been on a diet, so will see if I tell them after the reaction. My sister is heavy and struggled all her life and now has diabetes and I wish she would have this surgery but of course it is a big decision and I wouldn't want to encourage it and then maybe not be right for her. Hope your visit is a positive one for you with no drama concerning your new healthy body.
