  1. O.K. guys, I dont shop much, what are board shorts?
  2. Tiffy, Love the quote on your page!!!
  3. Hope you singles will not mind me jumping in here...I have enjoyed reading all the great posts about getting your life back and dating with trying to let all the old baggage go with the fat. My husband loves to dance and would be on the go too if I would go with him. But the fat kept me more and more a stay at home. We have a bike also and I would always feel like people said, what is he doing hauling that fat chick behind him?? Well not anymore..let me at it, we go all the time now and I feel so much more confident. He tells me "your getting all skinny on me!" Right! I just feel like I should have done this years ago, he was so patient with me. I am so happy for the great victories you all are having and wish you the best on being happy with YOU.
  4. You got them checking you out girlfriend!
  5. Lost 50lbs so far and I soon will be looking for a bathing suit...eeeeccckkkk. I'm in a size 14 as of today and can't believe how my clothes fit. I would be happy to be in a size 10! But not looking forward to trying on bathing suits!
  6. Donna, I am so glad Linda is on her way to a full recovery. She will still be in our prayers and hope to hear she is completely healed soon! Thanks for updating us.

So glad to see you post again! My surgery weight was close to yours but you lost faster than me I see, (too many carbs). So happy for you. Are you having any trouble maintaining?
  8. Way to go Daisy, you have had an amazing journey...thanks for sharing!!
  9. Black lace bikini panties....remember what your mom said about wearing good underwear. You NEVER know...ha. Need to toss my grannies!
  10. It will get better but it is a learning experience to figure out what your new tummy can stand. Sometimes it wants warm things, tea, soup/broth or cold/cool things of yogurt, applesauce, sf popsicles etc. You will settle in and it WILL get better, just part of the journey. It becomes second nature to know what works for you.

Glad you have started down the road to a healthier life. You will not regret it. Welcome to the losers bench!
  12. I just went to Sparkpeople.com and it so cool!! Thank you for telling me about this..so much information and will definitely be using it. :001_smile:
  13. Wow! Love the dress and you look so cute!! Thanks for letting us share this journey with you and for supporting us when we are down. (Especially about STALLS!) Pics of you both when you go to your ball please!
  14. I am almost 5 months out and have been really discouraged that I have stalled for weeks! I just lost another pound today but I was feeling like I was through the honeymoon period and only lost 47lbs. Tiffy mentioned myfitnesspal for tracking your foods and well, an eye opener. I was NOT keeping my carbs low and my calories were certainly not good. I thought I could just slip in few crackers, sports drinks, a little slice of bread with peanut butter...well you get it. I have been very careful and accountable for what I am putting in my mouth, and I lost a lb. Also, not drinking enough water. My body responded very quickly and hope I will get back on track with wt loss, I want to lose 45 more pounds.
  15. Sorry this happened to you Tiffy and thanks for the headsup on the photo privacy safeguards.
  16. Pnw218, I am 4.5 months out and can eat popcorn with no problems, in fact have to be careful bc it goes down so well and don't get the full feeling so it could be a slider! Must use as treat only. I have no problem with bread, one slice or small portion but try occasionally.
  17. Prayers for maintenence Tiffy! Wish you could turn off the stress level!!
  18. Oregon, Wow you have lost 102lbs and are below target weight, how cool!!!! I knew you were close but just noticed.
  19. Tiffy, Love this, printing it!
  20. Sandra, I have to say I have hunger at times and I am 4.5 months out. I recently had an episode of hugh hunger after I started on VitB12 complex. By three days out my stomach was always hungry and I could eat so much more. So I stopped that, but yes I have had hunger where I had to put something on my stomach. Some of that would be acid I know but still have to eat something and try for protein but if out I grab something quick with more carbs than I'd like.
  21. Did it take you an hour to figure out you were bored? If this was so beneath you why are you posting? You just insulted a very dear friend that has been sitting beside her sister with a severe complication and nearly lost her life. Just because Linda didn't post it herself you can't believe it. You don't know what you are talking about and you certainly don't know the whole story! But we don't want to bore you.

Good luck on your surgery, we will be here when you feel like posting!
  23. Donna, I am so sorry for all that Linda has had to go through and that you almost lost her from complications. Thank you for coming forward and I too hope that this is not deleted. I am so sorry for the double talk and excuses that are made to cover up negligence. My prayers are with you and your family.
  24. I am 4.5 months out and recently started taking a Bcomplex vitamin. I was taking just B12 1000mg but stopped that and switched to the complex B. Well after 3 days on it I was eating everything in sight. I had such hunger and I grazed all day long and could not believe how much my stomach held. I was astounded at the volume and so upset at the change. I had good restriction bf. I of course had a stall in weight loss, same 3 lbs back and forth and felt my stomach was back to bf surgery! I stopped the Bcomplex and feel a hugh difference in restriction but I do need the B's right? I was so upset. I'm also taking Vit C 500, bariatric multi vit with iron, Vit D3 and calcium citrate, no change there. Anyone have this happen?
  25. Fab, I am so sorry your loyalty for this company wasn't appreciated. BTW, could you go over your manager's head to complain about the taking your vacay days for payment? Atleast a letter informing them what happened?? That was dirty. Also, can you get your retirement out of them to roll over. Some companys put up roadblocks to you getting your retirement to move it elsewhere, delays etc. If not it is a plus that you can and don't find out the company pissed it away. So many terrible things have happened to longtime employees and then they have nothing when they leave...so sad.
