  1. I don't experience it often, as long as I remember the Prilosec. On the occasion it breaks through, I take a Zantac. It's actually better than it was pre-sleeve; I was taking 2 Zantac a day then. Dr. Aceves suggested that I get the RNY instead in order to get rid of the reflux, but I insisted on the sleeve -- I figured that since I was already taking meds for it, it wouldn't be a hardship to continue.
  2. I knew about the fat storage thing. I think I just expected it before now. I don't know why; just not thinking it through, I guess. Makes sense that it's stored in ALL the fat, not just that top layer. Silly.
  3. Not sure if this is where I should post, but it's kinda related. My whole life, my TOM has come on the 5th of the month. It stopped during pregnancies, then picked right up in the same pattern. Got kind of wonky for about 6 months when I was 28, then back to the same old, same old. I had a partial (uterine) hysterectomy in 2001. After that, I never noticed any of the PMS-type symptoms (emotional, bloating, etc.) Last week, I actually gained 1.5 pounds, felt like sh*t (had that FAT feeling), and felt general malaise. Is it possible that losing the weight made my hormones kick it up a notch? Between Friday and Monday, I lost 4 pounds - that NEVER happens! And it's stayed off; in fact, I've lost two more this week so far. Feels like it used to when I bloated so bad just before the 5th, then when the actual TOM started it would go away. Has anyone else experienced anything like this? I'm hoping this doesn't mean the migraines will come back!
