    New beginning!

I just started my journey, too. I had my first dietician appointment and my psych eval last week. I met with my PCP on Friday and he is fully behind my having the surgery. I am a little afraid of the six month diet though. I have failed so many times, I'm scared to death that I won't do well.

    RNY OR SLEEVE?

I was all set for the sleeve until I found out that my insurance will only cover the bypass. I'm not willing to give up, so I'm doing my research and moving forward with the RNY.

    The indignities of being obese

Sounds like my ex! Was his name John? lol My hubby now is very supportive. He flat out told he wasn't going to let me chicken out this time. I started the process once before for a lap band three years ago. I for scared and cancelled everything. I regretted it with every pound I gained.
  6. Yes, that's me. I just wish my insurance wasn't so strict on the length of the diet. I not sure in the reasoning for that. Just seems like hoop to jump through. I think being afraid of failure is the real reason I'm worried about the six months, too. I like the flavor of Spiriutein Protein Shakes. They are very filling.
  7. Yes, my insurance requires it. I hate that I have to jumps through six months of hoops, but I'm trying to be positive and work on my emotional eating during this time.
  8. I meet with my bariatrician on Wednesday to start my six month diet. Anyone else beginning in October hoping to be sleeved in March/April 2014?
