New beginning!

Hi all! I've been shadowing this group for a while now and finally decided to put a post up. I'm finally able to start this new chapter in my life and would love to make friends newbies and veterans alike. So far I've just started my 6 month weigh ins and will be making the psych appt soon. As far as I know I only have the dietician appt and the pre op "training" class that the office requires for all patients (but that won't be until everything else is finalized). I'm still in a daze of "it's really happening" and "oh crap now what do I do". But I have to admit I'm incredibly excited to be able to be at a point in my life to do this finally! Feel free to add me and especially if you're from Alabama :)

It won't fully hit you until you get insurance approval and get your date. That just happened for me this week. How I feel like it's really going to happen and I'm pretty overwhelmed. I have a three year old so it is going to take a lot of planning with my hubby's work schedule and making sure he gets to daycare. Just remember it will all be worth it!!

Another great is arriving at the hospital getting all hooked up and they say we will b taking u in a few minutes!!!! Congrats! This is an amazing journey!

I just started my journey, too. I had my first dietician appointment and my psych eval last week. I met with my PCP on Friday and he is fully behind my having the surgery.

I am a little afraid of the six month diet though. I have failed so many times, I'm scared to death that I won't do well.

I am afraid too, but I consider it a motivational fear. If I wasn't so concerned about doing well then I would just be lazy and not put forth the 200% effort. It's Gunna be tough but this is the most positive and uplifting place to be, and I'm so glad for the extra encouragement. We can do this!
