Drew, What's that? People talk about it, but I havent had any in so long. Heather, I know what you mean about trees and storms. After Rita came through it was sad to see all the 100 - 200 yr old oak trees leaning over, completely uprooted. And the trees that lost limbs and sliced through homes were the major damage that hurricane caused. Our plans are to hang out in the pool - hopefully the weather holds up. Anyone intersted in seeing pics, Ill post some. We have no pool pics from this summer, so I need to take some - SOON!

    Anyone have exciting plans?
  4. Wow - Wheetsin, I didnt know youve lost 103 lbs - - in 6 months?? wow - WOW!! My jaw just dropped. Thats amazing!!! my favorite: Lost my "bowling ball belly", and replaced it with my "gentle ski slope" belly I love it! LOL - best one Ive heard in a long time!
  5. Heather, I didnt know what a 'stalker' was either. Thanks for asking this question. :biggrin1:
  6. Kelly, from what I understand, this is what Im interpreting (in a nut shell) ... Lisa broke the rules. Penni broke the rules. Susan broke the rules. Others (Telly maybe? I dont remember) broke the rules. and Lisa's been the only one punished for breaking the LBT rules. She wants everyone to receive punishment - not just her. Do I have this right?
  7. You may want to call your sugeons office and give them a heads-up on the kiddie's being with you. Like others, I have/had very little child care and my baby came with me. One of the office attendents took him and walked him around the office during my fill - they gave him a treat & lots of love... but (i think?) I called and told them ahead of time that I was bringing him. Good luck on the first fill.
  8. *big sigh* Darcy, Very humbly I say this: New Hope was just as guilty of a player in all those games, as Lisa and Penni. I promise.
  9. I agree with Jack - the pain meds could be the problem. Strange as it seems, being nauseated post band surgery is not commen. At her stage, many bandsters are only taking liquid tylenoyl for pain. Also, she may need a little more substance in her tummy to help it settle down - try a small yogurt milkshake from McDonalds. A small one is not going to hurt! Actually, those things saved my life a few times. Hope its not a stomach bug!
  10. Hi Dody, I visited LBT around 2:15 this morning just before I left for work - and YES, she had re-posted the PM. Hey Kathy & StrawartS, save me a seat - please? Ive gotta get kids to school. Be back in a few. Its gonna be an interesting day..
  11. Oh my Gosh! This is horrible news. oh John, please give her all my love and prayers. I cant believe this this is happening.. *sigh*

    just wondering.
  13. Dont forget to drink, drink, drink tons of water. It helps your tummy mechanics work better.
  14. Wow Joy, I noticed you joined LBT over a year ago. Along with all the info youve gathered here and elsewhere, Im sure you are well prepared. Good luck!
  15. I shouldve never posted the sentence:It sounds like an attack on the Catholic church I apologize. Photonut - what an honor and awesome blessing for a family to have a son choose to follow the path of being a minister. Thanks for sharing! You and Dawg have every right to be proud!
  16. I have a problem with this post. It sounds like an attack on the Catholic church - MY church. And I feel the need to address it.. Even though this is 3rd party info, IF this were a true story - your friend would have grounds to possibly sue the Tribunal in his Diocese - in the least, bring in the Bishop on this situation. There's more to an annulment then an application and denial. And yes, Ive seen MANY annulments granted to those that were married for 25 years with 4,5,6 kids. Years and kids have nothing to do with proving that a sacramental marriage never existed. Thank you. Most of the time the roots of ignorance, stem from a lack of understanding OR knowledge. There are many good and holy priest, religious and laity in every community that give classes on apologetics, church doctrines, papal encyclicals and so forth - basically they teach why Catholics do (and believe) the things we do. This is just a FYI - incase one is interested. If anyone is interested in discussing this, you are welcome to pm me. I will not reply to attacks. Now, excuse me while I go pray my rosary.:biggrin1:
  17. ..as always, Sue is right!
  18. Wait a minute... I *thought* Lisa wanted the "Delarla" membership be terminated. This was her decision, not Alex's - right? So, what about the "Lisa Bones" account? was this done from Lisa's request or Alex's? And adding my own 2 cents to all this madness.. we're all held accountable for our own actions. Whether in real life or computer world. What troubles me the MOST is that Im so sad that a beautiful friendship has ended over all of this bologna. Over computer life! How horrible. For those of us that have been here long enough to remember, Penni nursed Lisa when she had a gaping hole in her abdomen. She opened her home to Lisa. Room and board. Brought her to the doctor and did for her better then most relatives! Not just once, but several times. I dont forget things like this, whether its done to me or others. Penni is genuine. She is also humble enough to admit failure. Come'on Lisa, its ok to be angry! But geez - Penni doesnt deserve this. i love you both.
  19. Thanks for updating us Drewslou. Like you, Im not surprised the DNA wasnt Karr's. What about JonBenet's brother as the killer??
  20. My baby girl was 3 when I was banded. She's accepted that mom has "the band" to help her manage weight issues. She almost 6 now. When I avoid certain foods, skip a meal, pb.. she'll ask or say something like, "You cant eat cause of your band, Momma?" No secrets around here. I voted for "Yes" on the poll.
  21. I wonder if i could go for socialology? Mike says Im a good talker :biggrin1: honestly, Id go for nursing. Although i would love to take classes on being more social.
  22. hmmm, I regret not doing something sooner. Not sure if the band was the right wls for me. Then again, not sure if there IS a right WLS - for any of us. Im cajun and Ive always enjoyed very spicy/strong flavors. Since banding I cant have either one, spicy OR strong foods. yes, Im down 70 pounds, but when my family sits down to a delicious gumbo meal and Im stuck only eating the meat from a cooked chicken leg - because the gumbo juice gives me horrid reflux & upset stomach - then I curse the band and wish I had gone with another choice. Even alcohol is untolerable for me to handle. Wine? I pb faster then a speeding bullet. I dont have regrets having a WLS - although I dont encourage anyone in making AGB their decision.
  23. Heck-NO! I wouldnt touch a hotdog 3 weeks post op. Like the others, Ive tried weiners a few times since banding and every time they stayed in my pouch - wouldnt go through the stoma, and ended up pbing. Ive even peeled the skin off, but nope! no luck. sorry.
  24. Nana, I soooooo want to go to school, but HOW would I get started? What about the ACT test? Wouldnt I have to take this before anything else? What did you have to do to get started?
  25. *Im laughing over here.* She's right, y'all.
