  1. Missy, Thanks for the info. is it $100 a fill? or is that what they bill your insurance comp?
  2. You know, as sensitive as your tummy was right after surgery, Im suprised that he went as far as giving you 2cc's for your first fill. geez! Michelle's right, you are wise thinking for acting so soon. Are the fills/unfills costing you anything?

Jayme, you gave WONDERFUL ideas! I love the one with the chicken in the salsa/cheese - sounds yummy! Here's another chicken idea... I spray pam in a skillet & brown my chicken tenders with lemon pepper. We either eat the chicken this way, with veggies on the side - Or cut the chicken up and mix it into a salad. Either way - its another chicken idea! My food ideas are boring compared to yours - Great thread!
  4. Mike was just taking his Paxil - the 2 younger ones were standing next to him. Philip (2yr old) asked, "Whats dat, Dad?" and Anne Marie (4yr old) answered him, "Thats his medicine that makes him be nice to us!" out of the mouth of babes!
  5. Hey Joe, Please come back and check on us and give us updates, ok? Good luck and God bless you!
  6. LOL, you are so SO right!
  7. This is a great question, and Ive thought about it many times. Is true happiness found in being 190 pounds? ...150 pounds? ...125 pounds? I think this is where alot of us get "number confused" - including myself! And we think, "If only I could get to a certian weight." I remind myself why I started this particular journey - NOT for what the scale says - but for what my body says. So, for me, true happiness is in going to an Amsument park and spending 6 hours in the heat and NOT having to stop and rest in the air condit. shops because I feel like Im truly going to DIE. Or going to the Water park with my kids and not focusing on "if they are looking at my fat". Or (this is the best one) my 9 year old putting his arms around me for a hug and saying, "Mom, I can wrap my arms all the way around you". Who cares what our goal weight is??? Our challenge should be in how we feel, not a number!
  8. http://www.avlimil.com/ I just saw a commercial on tv for this. Any of you ever heard of it/or tried it?
  9. Leatha, I have NO idea where I got that thought... about you waiting 3 months for the next band...??? duh! sorry about that. this is the part that bothers me. we have no idea when this is occuring?

LMBO! How right you are. Mary, we just got DSL. Until then it was dial-up. Crystal does have a point about the differences in the two. UNBELIEVABLE!
  12. This is fun! ok, my maiden name is French - Soileau. Pronounced "Swallow" . A N D - since this board has already had troubles related to "swallowing" - Im not going to get into the problems I had with my last name. Donali - good thing we didnt hook up in the military... "Hey 'Swallow' and 'Peters', Get over here!
  13. Barbara & Sue, did either of you experience ANY odd feelings (other then reflux) that couldve helped you figure out that something was wrong? And how did the doc find this, through endoscopy? Ive been thinking about this post a lot since I read it. Wondering what I would do if this happened to me - facing the possibility of band removal. Leatha, just wondering... why did the doc wait 3 months to replace your band? why didnt he just give you another one when the first one broke ? I mean you were already asleep, and he was at the right place at the right time. Why wait?

See? this is why I love you guys so much. NEVER wouldve thought about fire walls. Thanks Crystal - thanks a LOT!
  15. Gosh, y'all eat good stuff for lunch. Me? I had 2 boring eggs around 10:30. So I just had a snack attack and ate choc. chip cookies. real good for weight loss, ya know?
  16. Carmen, maybe invest in a personal trainer? That would be my suggestion. They could help you with exercises in certain problem areas. There are a couple of members here that have a pt - and LOVE the results.
  17. I buy gallon jugs of distilled Water from Walmart - .56 cents a gallon. Ive tried other brands of distilled water, but the walmart brand taste so much better, and its cheaper. Our tap water is NASTY! Full of hard minerals. Even comes out of the faucet with a brownish color. So thats why we switched to bottled water. Has anyone ever heard of the reverse osmosis water purification system?
  18. Hi Rene. The owner/starter of LBT is Alex B. He's not around much, but if you need him, Alexandra (moderator) is able to contact him. Its a little confusing - owner is named Alex (male). Moderator is Alexandra (female). 2 different people. Hope this helps.
  19. Ive been drinking distilled Water for about 5 years now. Because of a couple of reasons, we are thinking of installing the reverse osmosis water purification system for our drinking purposes. Anyone have this system? If not, then what kind of water do YOU drink? distilled...... purified....... spring........ tap.......

We recently upgraded our internet service from dial-up to DSL. But it seems that 4 out of 5 times the DSL system is down when we go to use the internet. I am grateful that hubby has the patience to continue calling the phone comp. and try to get this "fixed" - Ha! six phone calls ago I wouldve asked for dial-up again. but now Im thinking we should just go to cable. same monthly price. anyone else having frustrations with DSL???
  21. Christine, SO glad things are better for you. See how a little unfill made it better? Thanks for updating us!
  22. Good luck Krystal... and welcome to the "real" world of banded life
  23. Missy, did Spiegel do your surgery? Ive never heard of the other doc you mentioned. Good luck on this 5th fill... how long have you been banded? And when was your last fill? sorry for not responding sooner. things get kinda hectic around here at times
  24. my doc said "NO rough sex for 3 weeks". That was easy to follow
  25. Thanks Keri! I have this list on my fridge as well. I glance at it about once a month or so. it really IS "keys" to true happiness...
