    Chocolate!

my dietician gave me a recipe that is not bad as I love chocolate and pnutbutter. 1 sugar free pudding in a cup, 2 TBS pb2 (the powered pnutbutter), 2 tablespoons chocolate protein shake (in power form). mix together with spoon and enjoy.hope this helps deb I would also talk to your dietitian if you have access to one. deb

    Before I Start

You sound motivated and realistic about the challenges..family and social events take planning and committment to your purpose. YOu can do this..you will be happy to know, that for me..adding bbq to my food in small quantities has helped the food go down better! deb

    Gain weight back

i gained about 4 lbs when i got to eat real food as i wasnt having enough protein and had too much food period...with some poor choices. so i got back on the wagon. my dr should clear me for regular (using core, etc) exercise this tuesday. I have lost it almost all back again but like you, i was so mad at myself. i went back to journaling. considering i had been really good till last 1.5 weeks, i guess it just shows..willpower still counts! and setting good habit. I am enjoying losing weight and getting into lower clothes sizes, rediscovering my real face, etc to stop now. deb

    2 days post op

my left shoulder pain came later..and was a result of drinking too fast..however yours sounds more like anesthesia gas dispursing..i feel for you if it feels anything like mine..felt like someone was stabbing me. ours were probably from different causes..if it were instead referred gas (intestinal, not anesthesia, ( gas x dissovable strips and walking should help. if it doesn't i would call your surgeon's office and see what they say deb
  6. congrats..you will do OUTSTANDING! I know i was nervous about surgery and this was mild compared to other surgery i had..but still I was nervous. Afterwards i walked, walked walked, took some painmeds, had water..all the stuff i brought along to read, etc..wasted! but i was not too sore and am so thankful now! deb

PLEASE HELP! Been in Plateau for 4 months!

i would see if your insurance will pay for dietitian consults as you are a diabetic..some pay 80% depends on your plan. I have found the dietitian in my surgeons office to be great! you might also try a banded support group and see what they suggest. good luck..wow! you tire me out with all that exercise..i will strive to be as good as you! deb

    I can eat

my dr and his nurse told me he does not put any saline in the band, but it already has some usually around 2-3 cc's. However, the surgery makes the site swollen and the band it still there but usually not acting as restrictive as it would be. you should call your surgeons office..they will tell you if they filled the band as some do. deb
  12. Congrats! I really love that you are doing this journey together..please remind her your weight loss may be faster than hers re: more muscle mass..and not to get discouraged! deb
