  1. Thank you for the suggestions! I will try some of these. My problem is during the week when I work, I don't have time for the eggs but I am going to go back to making my omelets in advance and warming them up at work. This should help... Also, keep in mind my Snacks are apples, cottage cheese and protein bars but I was told I still depend on them too much.
  2. You're welcome. You and I are close in our journey so we should both start seeing some real weight loss in a couple more months!
  3. Can you give me an idea of what you eat for an average day?
  4. Is it just comfort or head hunger? Here's my new blog post on snacking and how to combat ttp://www.debbieposton.com/snacking-not-required/ What do you think? How do you keep from snacking between meals?
  5. New post on snacking... http://www.debbieposton.com/snacking-not-required/ input please...
  6. do you think the /plication helped? or do you think the lap band would have been enough?
  7. I'm feeling the EXACT same way! My fill is 12/19 - day after yours. I'm not gaining but not losing either! It is so discouraging... I've been walking around the parking lot at work during my lunch time (30 minutes). it averages to almost 2 miles. I find I'm too tired at night after working all day to exercise and I'm just not a morning person so this seems to be the best bet for me... BUT, I still don't have a handle on food choices all the time. Baklava got me this week!
  8. I would call your nutritionist... Explain to him\her what you just listed here and see what they recommend. Good luck and keep us updated.
  9. I feel you! I was so in the same boat last week! I went back to Proteins, lots of Water and walked 2 miles Mon-Thurs and I lost 4 lbs!! This week I learned I've not really been putting as much effort into my weight loss as I could... Also, sometimes it's just water weight and bloating and will go away in a day or so... Keep up the good work! You are doing great!
  10. No stuck episodes but I did eat more than I should grazing throughout the long visit with family and friends http://www.debbieposton.com/happy-thanksgiving-pass-the-pie/ However, that was a week ago now and even though I had gained 3 lbs, I have now lost that back plus an extra .6 lbs. I'm glad it's over

  12. Yes, I get some of that also...He chuckles when I sit there an moan because I started eating too fast and have to put my utensil down and wait to see if things are going to go down or not. Then reminds me when (if) I come out of the bathroom that slower is better...but he's very cute about it. I think they just want what's best for us and don't like seeing us miserable.... At the same time, do you watch to see how fast he eats? or washes his food down with soda? I never noticed it before my band surgery...lol
  13. Done! I edited it slightly of course so it would make sense to anyone who read it. Thank you!!
  14. You are lucky in that you have someone going through the same things you are. My boyfriend is not overweight at all. He's 6'4" and 200 lbs. He eats and drinks whatever he wants and doesn't gain anything, however, he does love me and he is very supportive of any decision I make. I am very grateful to have him. I too have had to go thru a couple not-so-supportive partners in the past...it did make things worse even if I can't blame anyone else but me for getting to the point where I needed WLS. Life is good now and I look forward to the journey...the good, the bad and the ugly....lol
  15. Thought you may enjoy this blog post....I quoted some of you and the advice you gave me, I hope you don't mind http://www.debbiepos...g-pass-the-pie/ Opinions???

  17. Thank you for the compliment, I have 2 new blog posts in the works and have also linked my photo pages to my website so you can now view my photos, however, haven't had much free time recently to finish them... One of them is related to my 3lb gain... which by the way I have already lost most of it just by going back on plan, lots of water and walking daily. it should be gone by friday and I can put this holiday behind me...lol
  18. Don't heat yourself up. The slip ups are going to happen, don't expect perfection from yourself. This is a life long journey. Just start back up today with the healthy habits. Well for the past 2 days I've managed to eat the right stuff and walk 2 miles a day...lets see if I can keep that up for 3 more days...I will feel much better when I weigh in on Friday no matter what the scale says
  19. breakfast: oatmeal low sugar snack: light cottage cheese & apple lunch: chicken enchilada (1 1/2 C) snack: special K protein bar dinner not done yet
  20. I know i need to be patient. That's what my nutritionist says and my doctor told me even though I only lost 3 lbs last visit that I am doing very well. That the 1st 6 months is the hardest! so I am trying to be patient. It's only been 9 weeks but I just expected it to be easier... I am back to watching my calories today and I did my 2 mile walk. I will try to focus this week and see if I can remember just to listen to my hunger and monitor my Protein and Water... Thanks for the encouragement! i thought I was a positive person but this is even getting to me...Where is that "Green Zone"....lol
  21. Hi guys, I hope everyone had a great holiday! I had 5 days off, thanksgiving, 2 birthdays, a company party, a friday night out with friends with alcohol, and an episode with a party size bag of peanut M&Ms over the past 10 days. I also didn't exercise or track my food, Protein or Water. I've gained 3 lbs!! I'm not sure what came over me but I think I lost my mind! It just still seems like so much work...I just wanted to relax and enjoy my time off. However, the m&ms were me stressing over not doing anything right. I realize that now... I'm beginning to think maybe I can't do this even with my lapband. Maybe I will be one of those who fail?? So today, I am going to try to get back on track but feeling like crap for what I've done. Any words of wisdom??
