  5. I dont know if these have been mentioned before, and I dont know how new they are BUT they are new to me!!! I was so happy to find them. I have no fill so maybe that is why they work for me. They are Don Pancho, High Fiber, Low Carb, Low Fat Wraps!!! One wrap has: 60 calories 2g fat 8 g Carb 5g fiber 6g protein AND THEY ARE SUPER YUMMY!!!! I made lunch with them today and 12 yo daughter ate one and LIKED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got them at Winco. They back of package reads: 95% fat free Whole Wheat Cholesterol Free High Fiber Great for Diabetics Excellent Low Carb Bread Substitute Delicious I know that not EVERYONE can do tortillas( wraps) but for the ones that can try these!! Deanna
  6. The last time I went to see my nutrisionist she told me to eat fat free refried beans. I was worried that they were considered mushies and she she said no, they can be mushies but told me to keep eating them. I agree with you, they fill me up, but I eat more than 1/2 cup!! Deanna
  7. You go babygrl...with the schedule you will be doing 12 miles in NO time flat. I want to ride to school starting fall semester until the snow flies. The university is up on a hill, so I am going to have quite a work out. I need to start mapping out my way now and work at it a little bit at a time until I can make it there with ease. Good luck everyone with there bike riding. I have a schwinn 7 speed around 179.00 from Kmart. I love it though, but already looking for a new bike. I want to do some bike marathons this next summer. Deanna
  8. I honestly dont see any resemblence of Racheal Ray!! But I do think this lady needs to be one of LapBandTalks finest, not just some random lady! Deanna
  9. Idaho Falls,Idaho has the New U Clinic. 208-529-7373. With everything I paid a little under 12,000. That was the pysc evaluation and dietician, exercise physiologist and fills for a year. Good Luck on finding a lap band doc. Deanna
  10. I bought myself some new walking shoes. Boy, you would be surprised how 30 pounds makes a difference in the way you walk. My old shoes look hideous and I can not even stand to walk with them now. My feet turned out so much the sides of the shoes where more wore out than the bottoms...Deanna
  11. I get mine at Winco. There are right by the rice cakes at my store. I have not looked at other stores, but will next time I go into WalMart or Smiths, or Albertsons. It is also interesting to look at the nutritional values of rice cakes compared to these. Rice cakes have NONE!!! No wonder whenever I use to diet and try to eat rice cakes to satisfy my cravings I always ended up eating everything else along with the rice cakes. Deanna
  12. Alexandria, I just wanted to tell you I am thinking about you. You are such a rock to people on this forum. All of your replies to others are great and supportive!! I agree with the post above...you are not going into debt because of not being able to stop putting food in your mouth. This goes way deeper than that, and you truly know this, you are just feeling that way right now. You are beautiful and a wonderful person. I truly hope that all goes your way!!! Here's to your health and your happiness!!! Deanna
  13. I think it took about three to four weeks to finally start seeing the belly going down. Seems like one day it is just gone and your stomach is smaller than it was before surgery...just keep that in mind...it is a great feeling to see a smaller tummy!!Deanna
  14. I also have been diagnose with sleep apnea but that was in 2005. When the nurse at hospital called to set up surgery, I asked about my CPAP..she told me to definitely bring it with me to hospital in case I had to stay the night. They do not use it in surgery...I also know that NEXT time I ever have surgery, and if I have my CPAP still, I will definitley ask to have it on in the recovery room. I think that would of solved a lot of breathing issues for me. I am used to waking up with it on and going full force and I dont think my mind was thinking about breathing because I am used to having the air pressure. Just my thoughts. Good Luck!! Deanna
  15. I am soooooo glad it helped you woodguy...it was a tremendous help for my upper body pain as well!!! Deanna
  16. I wonder if maybe the OP has a two week appointment and misunderstood that it was going to be for a fill. Can't imagine getting a fill after two weeks..you are still so swollen. Good Luck!!
  17. I went to surgeons on April 5th, started two week pre op diet next day and had surgery the 19th of April. It all really depends on lots of factors. Good luck!!!
  18. Hmm...I wonder if these would work for someone who has never had a fill yet. I went for a fill on Monday and they wouldnt give me one. Said I was doing really really good and that they were going to wait until I stopped losing. OH MY!!! I do get so hungry sometimes...not sure yet if it is head hunger or not..but did manage to lose another two pounds this week!! YIPPEE!! Deanna
  19. There are women and men on this site. Wow, don't know what to tell you about that!!! I know I am regular within a day since starting my preop diet!! Congratulations on your banding..both of you. Maybe someone else will chime in with why you are having a period again. What did the office say? Deanna
  20. Again, my doctor looked at mine and said there was a slight one but nothing to worry about. But, he would of fixed it had there been a need to. Check with another doctor if you still want to get the lap band. Deanna
  21. Wow...that is great the you woke up with your band...how wonderful!!!! I am glad you are home and doing fine. What a happy ending to a bad situation. Deanna
  22. light mozzarella string cheese...I also love the soy crisp but creamy ranch is my favorite...they are so good. The turkey pepperoni is good too. My nutritionist told me the protein in peanut butter is not enough to overcome the amount of fat in it. She told me not to eat it. Refried beans, hummus, there are quite a few snacks out there, you might do a google search for low fat low calorie snacks...Deanna
  23. What is a comfort bike????
  24. I find myself wondering if musicalmomma is gonna make it back home today since it is all uphill....LOL..just kidding...I know what you mean about rubber band legs.... Lee I am finding out if I stretch really good before and after, at least 7-10 minutes, that it helps tremendously with the soreness. I was having that too almost to the point where I could not even go again the next day but now am stretching and am MUCH better!!! Try that if you are not doing it now and see if it helps. Deanna I love my cheap bike..it has only 7 speeds and I LOVE IT!!!! I want to ride all the time...I get mad when no one in the family wants to go with me. LOL...
  25. I do not have fill as of yet, and I have had a small amount of rice and pizza. I have not had pasta yet or bread. I think the bread I can live without but pasta is so versatile and can be used in SO many dishes. I don't know why I have not tried it as of yet, I guess I am scared too. My tastes have definitely changed. I dont have the cravings from eating carbs all the time though, so maybe that is it. Deanna
