  1. Hello I am 34 years old and been overweight for about 14 years. My surgery is scheduled for Wed 6/13. I am very excited to open a new chapter in my life as a smaller person than I am now. I do have a family member that had this surgery 2 years ago so I do have my own support group at family get-togethers. Plus when I was a teen, my Mom had weight loss surgery. Now it is my turn. I am not a big internet person so I won't be on often to view messages, but I will certainly turn to this family when I need help and to share progress reports. Thank you for having this forum for talking. Sue-Z-Q
