Green Zone or too tight?
And yes I do have a food scale.

Green Zone or too tight?
NewMeDebbie you nailed it on the head! I am not used to eating half a chicken breast for dinner.

Green Zone or too tight?
Last Monday (1/20/14), I had my lapband tightened. Dr added .5ccs. I went from 5.5/10ccs to 6/10ccs. Before this fill I could eat almost a whole small plate of food for dinner (1 chicken breast and 1 cup of vegetables). Since my fill, I eat 4-5oz of chicken/fish and I AM FULL. FULL to the point where I have to walk around because it almost feels stuck. I can't even eat vegetables with my dinner anymore because there is no room. Have I been losing weight? Why, yes. I've lost 4 pounds in 2 days. Is this the "green zone" or am I too tight? Should I be able to eat vegetables with my dinner or is this 1/2 c of food/4 oz of Protein it for me? I only ask because it is slightly frustrating. I want to eat to a little more, but I just can't.

I know its not much....but
Believe me I am not discounting myself at all. I do feel so much BETTER! I just meant that it's not as much as some other people that post pictures of themselves on here (like 100 pounds). Don't worry, I'm proud of my 41 pounds. Just had a fill yesterday. At 6/10cc now. I'm hoping to me down to 50 pounds by Feb. 1st.

Happy 2014 January Challange
Had a rough few weeks. Gained 8 pounds after never years eve over the course of 5 days (lol). Learned that I will never eat Pasta 2 days in a row again. I have been FIGHTING to lose those 8 pounds since. Finally back at 328 after lots of hard work and exercise. I just had a fill today and I hope that will help a few more come off. Currently at 6/10cc. Here's hoping I can be 318 by February. We shall see!

I know its not much....but
Just wanted to share my progress so far. 41 pounds gone. Exercising 5x a week. The left photo was taken the first day of school this year in August 2013. I weighed 369. The right photo was taken last week because I felt "skinny" for some reason at work. I am now 328. My surgery was 10/2/13. I still have a lot of work to do, but: 1.) my clothes fit better 2.) I'm rediscovering old clothes I haven't worn in 4-5 years 3.) my shoes fit better! 4.) I'm not tired all the time 5.) people notice my weight loss now

Your tips for success
Was wondering what everyone's tips for success are? What have you found that has helped you lose weight? My two tips are: 1.) nighttime cup of tea - as a former nighttime binge eater I now have no interest in eating after dinner. If i do get hungry I have a cup of chai tea fresh from my kureig and go to bed not too long after! 2.) Chili!!! I have found that when I eat homemade bean or bean and ground beef chili for dinner that I lose like 1-2 pounds per day! It's amazing!

A fellow poster turned me onto this one. I love it: Plain Greek with cinnamon and a packet of trivia. Reminds me of apple pie!

Issue With Meat
I've had 2 fills with 5/10ccs in my band. Since I've gotten the band I've had an issue with meats like chicken or turkey. I can eat fish and ground beef ( like meatballs or meatloaf). The meat is not dry and I even eat it with gravy sometimes. Any advice for chicken? Am I eating it too fast perhaps? Not chewing well enough? I literally get that stuck feeling after only a few bites. Help!

Best Easy And Filling Meals
I am a teacher and find this year to be the busiest year I have had in a long time. It is very difficulty to find time to sit down and eat this year due to my lunch and planning times being used to plan lessons and such (plus my lunch is at 11am since I teach 1st grade). I need some ideas for quick, easy to eat meals that keep you full. Right now I am eating cottage cheese or tuna, but I feel like they don't keep me full more than an hour or two. I am currently at 4cc's, going for my second fill today.

Newbie ~ 3 weeks postop
I am also in the same boat! I posted this same problem last week. I've tried increasing my calories to 1200 and cut my carbs and finally after 2 weeks of no weight loss finally i lost a pound as of this morning after doing this for 4 days. I am 20 days post op today. Hang in there!

Breaking the Rules - eating something you should NOT
txsonicguy, I'd be interested to hear how you use your iphone to help you. Slowing down for me has been an issue too. Sometimes I forget about the lapband and take a huge bite and say a mental swear afterwards because I get the stuck feeling for a few minutes.

Baffled!
What do you/did you drink MammaJamma42? I have Ensure in my fridge, but those have over 20 carbs. I also have some cookies and cream muscle milk powder which is low in carbs, but not as many vitamins (I mix it in unsweetened almond milk), and also some plain whey protein powder which I make my own protein smoothies with (almond milk, frozen fruit, and the powder).

Fiber Suppliments?
Thanks! I'll check it out!

Baffled!
MammaJamma42, I will try adding more protein shakes in inbetween meals. In a way, I feel like my body is starving/in shock.

Baffled!
Any of the food I am eating is approved on the mushy stage of my diet. My mushy stage started at day 10-14 after my surgery. My stomach was able to tolerate it, so I was able to start it. The fish is really the only solid food I am eating. When I do eat that however, I chew it so well and take such small bites that it becomes a mushy paste.
