    Upcoming Fill

So, I've had my port revision surgery and it's time for my next fill. I'm ready for it because I feel like my food cravings are getting out of control since my last fill was in September. Thankful though because I've still been losing weight. I'm ready to get back on target and my workouts have been very helpful but I want to keep the momentum going, I have a lot more I intend on losing!!
  3. Originally banded in June 2013 and my port flipped in October, so back to surgery I went for a port revision. Surgery completed around Thanksgiving and I got a fill of 1cc; and I am still healing but I am back to being able to work out in the gym. I am suffering with constipation now and I can't stand it!! Any advice on a long term resolution for this issue? Ready to get back onto my weight loss plan of attack, this is the best decision that I could have made for redefining my life!!

    Latest Fill - Not Happy

Feeling all great cause I lost another 7 pounds and ready to get my fill....Well, hold that thought because my doctor had trouble getting the needle into the port. Off to X-Ray I go to make sure everything is okay, low and behold my internal stitches have separated and my port is backwards!! I was devastated.....bless my doctor cause she felt so bad for me since she had to explain the only way to fix it is another surgery that takes about 15 minutes.. She says this sometimes happens or with my exercise I pulled to hard and they separated. I'm still somewhat crushed about this and just don't know what to do next.. Has this happened to anyone else??
  5. Ok, my fill went great with no unexpected issues. However, I gained .4 pounds!! Totally not happy with that but my doctor says it is to be expected and she is pleased with my continued loss of inches. I must increase my motivation to get to the gym and partner my workouts with the work of the lapband for some true success.. I refuse to go backward any longer.. I really need some food types also because mostly I'm mot hungry for anything so a can of Soup is my usual, just too high in sodium. Time to search out some tips, I'm opinion to all input.. .

    Fill went well...

Great for you as well....Do you have a workout regimen to aid in your weight loss? I love to workout so I'm glad to be back on my routine, my biggest concern is meal ideas and breaking bad habits to be sure I eat properly. Continued success to you, this forum I have found is a great resource..
  7. Getting the lapband was one of the best decisions I have ever made, it's a whole new world and redefining moment. And I have always thought I was faboulous, this is just a different level..

    Fill went well...

Ok, I'm feeling pretty good that my fill went well. I got 1.5cc of saline today and I experienced no issues...Yippee for me, so myself and the NP were happy. I'm back on liquids for two days and one day of soft foods and I am very ready to get back into my workout regimen..

    Time for 2nd Fill

Okay, I am preparing for my second fill and I am really hoping for some good results. My first fill didn't go so well and the physician believes that due to swelling from the procedure my band shifted a bit. After waiting about 3 weeks I went back for an x-ray and all is well and back in place!! My next fill is on Tuesday and I really want it to go well because although I am doing well with my eating, I notice that I want to snack a lot. I have lost about 20 pounds so far, so I am feeling pretty good with my success but I can do better!! Time to kick it up a bit and get into the gym again..Staying encouraged!!
  10. Well today was my first fill and it didn't go so well.. Dr. added the saline and had me sip on water in the waiting room, well this pain in my throat and chest was horrible!! She had to remove some saline Salisbury I had to vomit to get the water out. We did this 3 times so yes, I got three sticks, which I hate needles. Then I had to get x-rays, finally she just removed all of the saline and put me back on liquids for one week and soft foods for one week.. I hope this gets better but I am excited about being able to get back to my exercise routine......I miss workouts so let's hope my next fill will be better..
  11. Great, thanks for the input!! I plan on starting slow and beginning with the treadmill on Monday, that will help me continue with my workout flow that I enjoy so much.. Very excited about my new weight loss journey getting under way..
  12. Okay, I finally made my decision to get the lapband and had my procedure on 06/27/2013 and my first fill is set for 07/25/13.. I'm a bit nervous from all of the posts with the concerns on fills and the pain associated; but hoping for an uneventful transition afterwards. I love working out but most of what I have read from my doctors office is stating that I should wait about 4 weeks before resuming workout.. Is that true for everyone else? I at least want to get on the treadmill or attend my weekly dance class. Any input on working out that anyone can share would be appreciated...
