  1. Dulci When I initially started to get myself informed on weight loss surgery, I went to the orientation at the Cleveland Clinic. It is said that they are the best. Unfortunately, I had insurance issues. That's why I went straight to a cosmetic surgery center instead.
  2. Sorry to ear that you have to wait. Just try to do liquids until then. Especially water to keep yourself hydrated.
  3. Ann, I'm not a doctor, but I think you are too tight. Please call him.

  5. Hello Ann. I was going through the same thing. The bad thing is that I was too tight for too long. I finally realized that it was time to call the doctor. Yesterday, he removed one cc I think. Although I don't have pain anymore, I feel like I can eat anything. I went from super restriction to no restriction at all. My plan is to set up an appointment for another fill for December 2. However, I'm going to ask my doctor to only put in one cc or less. He's very aggressive with his fills and I'm no longer going to allow him to make decisions for me. For example, the last fill I had on October 15, he put 3 cc. That took me way over the top and I had to go back to him twice. As a result, I lost 2 days of work! Not worth it at all! I learned my lesson. If you are having pain when attempting to eat, please call your doctor and have a slight unfill. Good luck and keep us posted.
  6. Well, the doctor removed 1 cc of fluid and I feel great!!!! Don't know how it's going to play out from here in out but at least i don't have anymore pain.
  7. Hi Mis 73. Congratulations! Sooooo happy for you!
  8. It's four months for me too. I have lost almost 40 pounds. I went from a size 14-16 to a size 10. I can even fit into size 8 stretchy jeans. Lol. Congratulations!
  9. At home: 170 lbs At the Doctor's office: 168 lbs. either way, I'm happy, but worried because I'm having some band issues.

  11. Thanks everyone. I am praying that there is no slip. I hope that all he needs to do is remove some liquid.
  12. Hello everyone. I was filled two weeks ago (my fourth fill). I couldn't drink liquids so I went for a slight unfill two days later. On that day, Iwas able to drink a bottle of water with no problems when I left the doctor's office. However, since then (October 17), it has been very difficult for me to eat anything without having pain. I slimmed yesterday for the first time. I called my doctor today because I was tired of the pain and worried that I'm not feeling better when trying to eat and he wants to see me tomorrow. He is sending me for an X-ray. Now, I'm so afraid of what could be wrong.
  13. B-52 Thank you for all you share. The last fill I had, really took me over the top. I had no choice but to go back two days later and get some fluid taken out. However, I still feel a lot of restriction and I understand completely where you are coming from. I could barely eat, especially foods like bread and rice. Thank God for that because that was my weakness. I remember reading something you wrote about being tight for about two weeks and riding it out. I took that advice because the previous fill was tight and after two or three weeks, I could still eat a horse, lol! The point is that I think some bandsters still want to be able to eat everything they could before being banded, and that shouldn't be an option. Again, thanks for sharing your experience with us. I truly appreciate it and good luck with everything!
  14. I have only lost 35 pounds in 4 months. However, I went from a size XL in belts to a size medium. I went from a size 16 in pants to size 10. I went from an XL shirt to L, but that's only because I have a small belly and big you know what.... Lol. Loving it!
  15. Congratulations! You deserve to brag! Lol
  16. I am so happy that you are doing better!
  17. 2babutterfly How do you fix a stretched pouch? I ask because after my last fill, i have pain every time I eat. I went back to the doctor two days later and he took some saline out. While at the doctors office, I was able to drink a bottle of water and felt instant relief. However, I now feel too tight once again. I am barely able to eat anything. I hate this feeling. My concern is a slip or stretching my pouch. The crazy thing about all of this is that I haven't lose weight in the last week. I thought I should have lost something considering I'm barely eating anything.
  18. One more pound for you! Awesome!
