    Bra Recommendations Please!

Well Missy I've lost 200 but the first to go was my boobs! Now a 36B! However I have the same problem! I've found that Soma is the best place for bras. Hey the girls look so good on my bra that some guy In Macy's went on and on about my cleavage! Granted it was a little uncomfortable it made me realize the girls look much better than they really are! My friend who was with me still laughs about it! I'm just not use to all the attention.

    Weight loss

Way to go! I lost 25 the first month which was more than I expected as I had lost 175 before the band! But just what I wanted so I'm quite happy! Wishing you much continued success.

    Denied because of 1.8lbs!

I have a daughter with 5 weight related conditions yet her insurance turned her down not just once but twice, now she had to get an attorney involved. All I can say is sometimes they just don't see the forest for the trees! Good luck to you.

    I'm so confused!!

I chose the band over by pass and the sleeve as it was safer and reversible. Also it does not work by malabsorption as does the by pass and sleeve. I have 2 friends who had the by pass one has gained her weight back, the other has had many problems. I also have a friend who got the sleeve and she is 15 years younger than me but looks much older, and it is caused from the malabsorption syndrome. I just could not do that to myself. I was in my surgeons office for my 4 week check up and there was a lady who was 2 months out with a by pass as it was all her insurance would pay for. Anyway she had only lost 4 pounds more in 2 months than I had lost in 1! She said she was having a very hard time eating, she wasn't able to get any meat down, and was still doing protein shakes and having a hard time keeping them down. I'd suggest you go to a support group for both surgeries and get a chance to talk to people who have had them done, that's what I did. Either way you go good luck!

    Weird ?

They weighed me in pre op. So I am guessing they will weigh you as well.

    out of pocket

Check with the doctor and hospital where you are having your band done. You never know what they will do for you.
  11. My plastic surgeon said take massive doses of E and I have to say most of my stretch marks are gone and some of the skin has tightened up. But I still will have to have surgery to pull up my tummy and the excess on my arms and lift my boobs! But it is better than I thought it would be. I want to lose 50 more before I have any surgery done.

    Heading in to surgery.

Wishing you all the best for a successful surgery and quick recovery!

In my White House Black Market dress for the YMCA gala. They used my weight loss story to raise money to help out those who cannot afford to pay for their membership.
  16. Best wishes to you! The reason I got banded was I had lost 175 on my own and I just wanted to reach my goal and keep it off so I felt the band just might be the tool I needed. I'm doing a commercial for the YMCA as they were the ones who helped me lose the pre banding weight. They gave me trainers and all the personal help I needed. Although I now go to 24 hour fitness I owe the Y a lot as they gave me so much. One day a ta time you'll reach your goal.

    Stretch Marks

I have lost over 200 pounds, 176 pre banding. Most of mine did go away, but I am very fair skinned, I'm a red head. The plastic surgeon I was sent to told me to take high doses of E so I did. I plan on having my tummy, arms and breast lifted but I first want to lose another 50 pounds.

If it helps, my doctor said if your job is no real physical as it sounds yours is not that I could return to work in one week. I am self employed, I'm a wholesale baker, I arranged for a month off. I have to say it was nice!
  20. For me it was a life of abuse, I put on weight to keep people as a distance so I would not be hurt, and it nearly killed me! I'm also a professional baker and cake decorator. I was always tasting and eating left overs. When I started losing weight I had to keep a sink of hot soapy water to put the bowls in so I would not lick, taste or otherwise. We all have our stories, yours just might be the one to help someone overcome theirs. Blessings!

Okay I've been caught! I'm a professional baker, and all those cake pops in front of me I made, a total of 432 for a church BBQ fund raiser for Hopes Table where we feed anyone in need of a meal every Monday night. I wanted a ref point from before banding so this is it!

    Is Sliming Harmful?

I have not had that problem, but I was told if I wanted to avoid having it to take small bites and wait between bites. Hope it improves for you.

Congratulations on your banding! I can tell you first hand that weight loss will take care of the L4&5 problem. I too had a bad L4&5 was sent to a surgeon and knew at 421 pounds surgery was out of the question. When I started losing weight the pain went away, and ultimately I was finished with PT and on to working out at a gym. Today my low back pain is just a distant memory THANK GOD! I am sure you too will find the same relief. Blessings and best wishes to you for success in your losses.
  24. Best thing I have done! I had none of the usual post op complaints other than a little gas, so I was very happy! You'll be just fine! Best wishes to you in your new journey,
