    What's your green zone?

I just got my third fill today. I was banded the 20th of June. I had my first fill on July 15. I found out I had a 10cc band and already had 4.5ccs in there so I got 1cc that day and felt nothing. I waited thinking it would hit me later that week but nothing. So I go back for a second fill two weeks later and get .5cc and was up to 6ccs in my band. Still. Nothing. So today I go in and get another .5ccs. I am now up to 6.5ccs and they are hopeful that I am in the green zone now. So I'm asking, when you were in the green zone, how many ccs did you have in your band?
  2. I am in Phoenix and have been living here for the last three years. I moved here to go to school and recently I found out that my schooling is no longer available to me. So, I am left wondering, do I stay here and pay rent/utilities away from family and friends or do I move home and save up money? Here is the catch. I am an out of pocket patient at True Results. Part of the money that I paid for when I paid for surgery was one year of post op appointments. If I were to move, what happens with that? Am I just on my own? Don't get me wrong, I know the fills are why I'm loosing weight and obviously loosing weight and getting healthy is VERY important to me but if I move, can I at least transfer my post op appointments to Irving, TX where they have another office? Texas is four hours away from me but it's closer than eighteen! Does anyone have experience with this??
  3. I am having my first fill tomorrow at 2. I know they will have me go to liquids after the fill but should I eat lunch before I go? Something light? Does anyone have any suggestions?? I am trying not to worry about getting a fill because I know it's not going to hurt or be that big of a deal, it's just a new experience so I'm a little worried.

    Anyone from Phoenix Arizona?

Yes, we can all update each other and motivate each other!
  5. My second and third day were the worst for pain. It's only up from here!
  6. I am 5 days post op and most of my incisions are healing well. My port one gives me the most pain still and the three on top but mainly the two little ones on the right and left of it are itching me like crazy. I am constantly having to stop and remind myself not to mess with them. I know that itching just means they are healing but I feel like they would itch less with the steri strips gone but I am a big chicken and don't want to mess up any medical type stuff. Obviously, they are there for a reason. Did anyone else experience this??

    Anyone from Phoenix Arizona?

Haha, too funny! My brother lives in Queen Creek so I'm out there every other week or so. I'm excited to see both of us progress!
  8. How are you doing with it?

    Anyone from Phoenix Arizona?

I'm in Tempe and went though true results with Nirmul, too. I was banded 6/20 and am down 13 pounds since I started my pre op diet. I went to last months support group and loved it! I'd be happy to meet some of you at the next one!!
  10. I had surgery 5 days ago and I am not feeling too terrible. Sore, for sure but the gas pains are gone now. I still have pain in my port and area and from what I read/heard, that can continue for weeks while it heals. Walking was a HUGE help for me and of course the liquid lortab. Stay hydrated and starting filling up on Protein once you are allowed to have protein drinks!
  11. Hello, everyone! I am new to the community, I have been blogging on blogspot about my journey so far but I figured I'd reach out here too. If anyone is a member there too, you are more than welcome to follow me! I'd love to have more bandster friends to ask advice from when I need it. My blog is http://gettinghealthyformyself.blogspot.com/ I am 5 days post op and feeling good. I am getting in as much Protein as I can and Water, too. I am going walking (strolls) when I have the energy. Today is my first day back to school and work. It's hard getting back into the daily grind but luckily, I am mainly sitting all day. Today is also my first time without taking my liquid lortab and I am definitely feeling more sore than the last few days without it. I am mainly sore at my port site and normally only when I bend or sit up too quickly. I'd love to have some specific people to reach out to with questions that are post op, as well! I can also help with people who may have questions about things and are still pre op. I may not know a lot, but I am willing to share! -Alli
