Hi Getmygroveback, I went through True Results in Scottsdale. I was banded May 16th. It was hard the first week, but after that I started to feel better. I can eat a lot more, I haven't had my first fill yet. Im scheduled to go in on the 20th. Im 3 weeks into it and lost 14 pounds so far. That's because my body went cold turkey, lol.... I live around I17 and Northern. Got a membership at You Fit on 35th and Bethany Home Rd. Dobt know where you live, but if your close we can work out together.

Hey... Who did the surgery? That is where I went as well. Doc Stevenson for me... I already belong to a gym, but we will definitely have to keep in touch along this journey. I go that week too for my first fill, you will have to let me know how it goes... Maybe once the weather cools down a bit (lol) we can meet up and workout on weekends other than the gym. Maybe hike, or walk outside, or who knows what else is offered around here...

How cool.... Dr. Nirmul performed the procedure. He was great. As for working out, I'm open anytime. You just let me know with time.

Have you lost 14 lbs since your surgery or does that include your preop pounds lost too? Great job!

Hi again.. Thinking about going to their support groups for the first few months to see what it's about.. Thoughts?

Msapp77-- surgery is not bad.. The preop and anxiety is worse..keep us posted.. Good luck.

Hi Staci, I am being banded this Thursday (6/20). I had my scope today and my preop visit with Dr. Nirmul tomorrow. My hand is killing me from the IV today. I need to get more fluids in before Thursday as I am a bit dehydrated.

How is it going?

I get to shower today!! It's the little things right? Haha. I gained 6 lbs from fluids on surgery day and I am finally back down to where I was the morning of surgery. I am going to take some photos today to track progress as I forgot Thursday.

I used a heating pad yesterday and it really seemed to help with the gas. Thankfully!!

I'm in Tempe and went though true results with Nirmul, too. I was banded 6/20 and am down 13 pounds since I started my pre op diet. I went to last months support group and loved it! I'd be happy to meet some of you at the next one!!
