Tips for dealing with a sore abdomen?

Anyone got any suggestions for pain in the large incision due to coughing. I feel like I am being stabbed every time I cough. I have tried ice and using a pillow when I get these coughing spells. Please help? -

I am also 4 days post op. I was having issues keeping liquids down the first couple of days. It's getting better now. -
I am 4 days post op. I too have severe pain coming from my big incision. I have been coughing a lot which only makes it worse. I have tried using ice and a pillow to try and ease the pain but that does not seem to help. So I am going to take the pain meds to see if it helps. Any one know of anything else?

I am 2 days out and I can sleep on my stomach. I just have to be real careful of how get up. Have to roll in your side. Also helps get rid of the gas.
