  1. Sorry you're in pain, Hun. Soon you'll find relieve. But I MUST say this: while I was being wheeled away from the waiting area, on my way to the OR, my husband was handed my prescription with a LIQUID painkiller so that it could be filled while I was in surgery- a very efficient process! But then again, my doctor was Dr. Ren-Fielding... She's just TOO WONDERFUL. Feel better soon.
  2. WoW, AZDee!! I would love to see before/after pics. You're a brave soul!
  3. Preservatives ^^^
  4. Thanks for this thread!! The following person said it Best: I recently answers a post EXACTLY like the one you're referring to, and the person responded by telling me I was unsupportive & whatnot. She took her friend's advice over the advice of her surgeon. Like them teenagers say: it's whatever!
  5. I'm not at goal yet, so I'll wait a few more weeks to start researching.
  6. What insurance do you have, if you don't mind me asking.
  7. That's RIGHT!! You can so this! And it's refreshing to see someone making changes so early on. Kudos!!
  8. JLM, you think I was being "UGLY" and discouraging? You must read my post AGAIN. There's nothing ugly or discouraging about it. Imagine that!!
  9. I was a eater/drinker... Eventually, you'll have no problem doing it. And that's because the first time you try it (eating & drinking with your band) you'll probably puke... It's not a happy experience. I know it seems like such a hard thing to do, even though there are ppl who still so it, but it's just a habit you'll learn to develop just like you developed your current one. I used to gulp my cold Water specially during the summer months and I thought I was gonna have a hard time adjusting to sipping it... It's child's play. It's second nature. You'll do fine!
  10. You're "friend" doesn't sound like a good friend at all. Sorry-not-sorry, but that's just how I feel. Where did she get HER medical degree/license? What qualifies HER to give you advice contrary to what your SURGEON ordered? How many bands has SHE installed? Where will SHE be if your band slips or your sutures rip? A lot of us deviate from the rules at least once throughout our journey.... But doing so only seven day out is a sure guarantee that SOMETHING is gonna go wrong. Learn from this and NEVER take advice contrary to your surgeon's- I don't care how freaking "successful" they have been. (Tell her I said that)
  11. You still have your 2011 PAY STUBS?!! LoL
  12. It's normal to be a little apprehensive about your fist fill, after all, I'm sure you've read horror stories. But YOU won't have one! You will follow your doctor's instructions to a T because you didn't have major surgery to ruin it for yourself. About eating like normal during your vacation, GET OVER IT and don't beat yourself up about it. That's in the PASS... You will do great! When they have you drink Water right after your fill, do not leave that place if you have any little doubt that you might be too tight. And if you're REALLY worried, tell them to be really conservative with the fills and to go slowly. Have a great day!!
  13. "I Share My Bacon" could be soooo misinterpreted. I like it!
  14. Have you asked your primary healthcare provider?? Or, you can go see a gastroenterologist... I'm sure that that being his specialty, he'll order it ASAP.
  15. Praying that it isn't serious... Let us know.
  16. HUG!! In no time this will all be over... Try not to count the days. <3
  17. I'm near ridgewood, queens... We're do you live?
  18. I took glycerin suppositories regularly during my first month. They work within minutes with minimal discomfort.
  19. It "sounds" aggressive, but only you can really answer that question. Good luck!
  20. GINGER, that sounds AWESOME!! As soon as I land a job I'm signing up!! In the meantime, our budget is beyond tight with car payments, bills and husband only working two days. Love the site!!
  21. WOOOHOOOOO!!! Congrats!! I'm doing a neon dash 5k this Saturday with my ten year old and a few friends! Her tutu is already done and I start mine today!!
