  1. I'm kinda bummed out that I'm gonna miss it, I'll be on my way to the Aviator Sports & Events Center getting ready for the NEON DASH 5K. And now that I think about it... I should have posted about it HERE. That would have been a great way to get together. Shame on me.
  2. Yes, yes, yes!! Business casual is absolutely doable
  3. Dang it!! I always miss it!! Gggrrrrr! I will be on my way to Aviator Sports & Events Center for the NEON DASH 5K Enjoy each other's company, guys!!
  4. HA!! I just realized I had already answered this post... I started to wonder why I didn't get any notification on it... It's because it's an old one. Anyway... HELLO EVERYONE!
  5. (I might as well copy/paste my response to a post a few minutes ago) :-D Doctor Ren-Fielding was my surgeon. Believe it or not, I only saw her for the pre-op consultation and the day of surgery. I haven't seen her since. And I'm NOT saying this as a BAD THING. One thing I remember about her is her professionalism and genuine care for me. She commands respect with her mere presence. She's just LOVELY!! The reason why I haven't seen her since surgery is because initially, I got my fills with Frank, but one day, when I was scheduled to get one with Ren, she had an emergency and instead GASPAR baptized me... This man has a gift! I think he can do fills with his eyes BANDed (pun intended) because he's just WONDERFUL. He has the Midas touch, so-to-speak. Every single person in that practice has been wonderful to me.

  7. HELP!! I'm applying for jobs and I only really have two viable outfits. If my neighbors knew I'm going on interviews, they call the companies and tell them: "DO NOT HIRE THAT GIRL WHO ONLY HAS TWO OUTFITS!" Lmaoooo Size 14,16,18 Oh, and I like free stuff. LoL J/K, but no, really!
  8. Yep! There are tons of posts about this topic. Simply do a search and you'll find them. GOOD LUCK
  9. I'm proud of you!!! I must say, any little activity I add during the day is a sure guarantee that I will see a loss the next morning... XOXOXO
  10. Remember one thing, the psychologist is on YOUR side- she wants you to pass. Just be honest and you'll be fine unless you're a total nut job who thinks the band is a magic trick that will do ALL THE HARD WORK FOR YOU. LoL Good luck!!
  11. If you wanna give eggs another GO, try a splash of heavy cream, that makes them moist (AND DON'T OVER COOK THEM!!!). While cooking, constantly move the eggs around so that they cook like crumbs, as opposed to "omelet" style. You would think that things like eggs & tuna fish would be easy foods to pass, but I have to be super careful when I eat those two. Also, it's true what they said above... Sounds like its too soon for solids. Welcome to the BANDid side, where EVERYDAY is a learning experience
  12. ^^^ is hoping the differences are reconcilable. <3
  13. Many of us have names for our bands/ports (my band is GingerSnaps) because that beeeetch would quickly snap me into shape if I try to deviate. LoL. I'm wondering if anyone has a name for the process of getting a fill? (If not, it's time you get one) I call mine: "getting baptized" "Tomorrow I'm leaving early. I'm getting baptized" "I'm soooo glad I got baptized last week, I've already lost three pounds!" GO!
  14. Thanks for this! My goal is to be better everyday.
  15. Sweet heart, tell us something we DON'T know. I promise you it DOES get better. It's EXACTLY how 2much put it up there ^^^^ If it was easy to control ourselves, we wouldn't be obese. In my opinion, the fact that you DO notice is an improvement because when we get to the point of obesity, is like we eat mindlessly. At least you're well aware of what you're doing. I'm confident you'll get a hold of it. Maybe start with ONE habit at a time, you still have a few months to prepare. Good luck!!
  16. I'd be miserable if I had to count calories. I'm GREEN and the only thing I count is four hours intervals just to be continually FREAKED OUT about how punctual my band is.
  17. "Mess with your health" in what specific way? Has he explained himself? Do you have history of mental health issues? I hope you can use all the loops he put you through with a new surgeon. Good luck!
  18. Do you know WHY you're gaining?!!
  19. Boost Protein shake is pretty good (it says HIGH PROTEIN on the bottle- and I think it's got some green color on the front). I would even suggest Nutrament if you don't find any shake that you can tolerate. Or even Slimfast If you have a juicer, you can juice broccoli with an apple. Tastes GREAT!!
