  3. Thanks for all the prayers! I'm truly blessed. Today was my first radiation treatment. I slept the majority of the day because it really does suck the life out of you. I was unable to keep anything down today so I'm hoping for a better day tomorrow. Thanks again for all the support. God bless!

  18. The oncologist I met with was really nice. My bariatric surgeon also went to the meeting, which I was totally surprised about. He told me that my gastric bypass probably saved my life because of the complications I had, which lead to the endoscopy. He feels they caught it very early, which was comforting to hear. I have to undergo 5 rounds of radiation starting on this coming Thursday. Then I will have to repeat the PET scan and we will go from there. They are concerned with my nutritional status being so fresh out of surgery and all the nausea I have. But this to shall pass and I'm going to face one day at a time. Thanks for the love and prayers!!

  27. Thank you all so much!! I truly appreciate all the prayers and concerns! I hope to get a lot more answers on Friday when I see an oncologist that specializes in that area of the body. The doc that called me into the office couldn't have been any nicer. He was the one that did my endoscopy. I'm thankful for him for being curious and taking the time to investigate further. I will keep you all updated. Again, thank you ❤️
  28. I just found out that the biopsies all came back positive for cancer ...I have to have another endoscopy and a PET scan done on Thursday and I see a few docs on Friday. This is very unsettling because I'm a nurse and I'm very concerned with just having this surgery and what I may have to face as far as treatment. I'm just going to "keep swimming" and tackle each day as it comes! Thanks for the prayers!
  29. Pittsburgh....Dr. Pelusco
  30. I made it thru my endoscopy! That was pretty simple. They dilated the opening to my new stomach a little. The doctor said he just did it a small amount because I'm so fresh out of surgery. He said it may need done a few more times. While doing my scope they found some abnormal cells on my esophagus they took 2 biopsies. So now I play the waiting game. Thanks for all the prayers and positive comments
  31. I had my RNY surgery on July 1st. I did really well with it for the first 2.5 weeks. Not so much now. I can't keep anything down including fluids and my meds. Going in tomorrow for an endoscopy. Just wondering if anyone else experienced this and what the problem was. I have that feeling like a pill is stuck in my throat always and I have taken in nothing but applesauce and Greek yogurt. Thanks for any info
  32. Will.....I'm going in for an endoscopy tomorrow because I'm now unable to keep water down.....ugh!! I felt better my dirt week post op than I do now ! Prayers would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!
  33. Just remember.....I may not be there yet but I am closer than I was yesterday!! ❤️❤️❤️ Keep up the good work everyone!
  34. I had my surgery 7/1 and came home feeling great....then I hit week 3 I was throwing up all the time. It was horrible!! I was scared to eat anything...I have been living on applesauce and Greek yogurt. Starting to come around now!! Thank goodness
