  1. My sister had one... But she got the sleeve, not ybs band.
  2. Aquarian, your surgeon SHOULD respect your opinion about how aggressive your fills should be. I say you call them and put your feet down and don't allow him to do as he pleases with you.
  3. LoL. Bandista, KILL ME NOW... All this time I thought you were a MAN. Forgive your fellow BANDit, would ya?? (Funny post, btw)
  4. Our terms aren't exactly the safest. Follow the lead of your surgeon. You'll be happy you did. I recently posted about MY experience last week. It wasn't pretty.
  5. You're welcome, Nana Lenna, I think it's a combination of poor education AND patients not doing their homework in conjunction with total disregard & abuse of the band. Frankly, I don't think my original bariatric team was very educational. The nutritionist didn't really go into detail of all the things that could go wrong if you abuse it. Almost all I know is from my own research and reading lots of success & failure stories. The phycologist didn't discuss that the band wasn't gonna "keep" me from eating and that it was a large percentage gonna still be a mental battle. The three group meeting i attended barely discussed life after the band- they focused on the pre op diet. But thank God I ended up having my surgery with the best team in NY at NYU.
  6. *holds collegeboi's hand through the whole process* LoL. It's normal to be worried, after all, it IS mayor surgery... You'll be fine!
  7. I'm sure some of you know Skymoon1982- aka Melanie from YouTube. This is EXACTLY the reason why I didn't hesitate last week and IMMEDIATELY went to the ER when I got "stuck" while drinking coffee after an aggressive fill. I was so scared my band would slip. I feel for her, but she waited TOO DAMN LONG. Now she had no band.
  8. Damn! You guys are warriors! I'm not working and couldn't phantom going back to "work" if I had to, before the two week mark.
  9. That's great for you B-52! I'm looking forward to rewarding myself with LASIK when I reach goal as well. (35 going on 21)
  10. Ha! I hope we are ALL adults here, even if some behave like 6th graders (not anyone in THIS thread particularly)
  11. The genie appears promptly... No rubbing required Ok.... Maybe A LIL RUBBING
  12. Nana, thank you for being so resourceful!!!! What a GREAT, GREAT article.
  13. Boost High Protein is the closest thing to SlimFast I know of. No after taste like Muscle Milk
  14. Hahaha!! Purple- my favorite color.
  15. A few weeks ago I was caught up eating between meals. I made a conscious decision that that behavior was gonna stop and it did. Four pounds is not that bad. Kudos for catching it and changing the bad behavior. We are not and will never be perfect. Cut yourself some slack and learn from it.
  16. Did you ask if you could be re-banded???
  17. Debbie, you're rubbing me.... The right way.
  18. My band has been empty since Friday. I've been able to lose a few lbs but I still have that fear of losing control. I hope you can start getting fills again... You'll lose the 20, don't worry.
  19. Thats exactly what *I do they don't matter one way or the other so they can take their "experience" and SHOVE IT!! Have a blessed day, pretty!
