  1. Mrsto.... I'm gonna run with everything you've said above. I'm so glad I posted this question more than ANY OTHER QUESTION I've posted. Thanks, from the bottom of my heart!
  2. She's in her fifties and is morbidly obese 300+ She's like a spiritual mother to me because she was always there for me when I first became a Christian, and she's still in my life even though I don't attend church anymore. It saddens me that she has so many weight-related issues. I know if she had mobility she would be so much more happy because she loves kids and she love to tend gardens and grow food. I've suggested her this option (even before I wanted it for myself, thinking I could do it through diet and exercise) but she CLAIMS that God wouldn't want this for her because she wouldn't be "dealing with the root issues". I answer to that always was: but once you're losing and healthier, it would be easier to deal with the "root problem" because you don't have to worry about all the health issues...... But she still claims God wouldn't want this for her. I had my surgery July 20th and she still hasn't asked me ANYTHING about it. I would never bring it up, because I don't want her to think I'm bragging or anything like that. How can I at least make her entertain the thought without her using GOD as a cop-out???
  3. Glycerin suppositories work instantly (about 5 minutes)
  4. You got to have a lot of heart to go through all that. CONGRATZ!!!!
  5. That is uber WRONG!!!! Although, we probably waived that privacy when we clicked "Agree" cuz not too many people read those terms. Tomorrow I get my face off this avi.
  6. I'm so glad you were able to speak to your surgeon and get this fixed!! Yeyyyy for being out own advocates.

Junkie, that tells me just about ALL I need to know about you & your wifey!! What a wonderful thing to have a heart big enough and beautiful enough to give your unconditional love to a child born of someone else. It takes a special kind of person to go through that. God bless you! Some people in my husband's family's (his sisters, mainly) look at me like I'm crazy every time I say I want to adopt a child in the future and they say things like: "nooooo, it's better to have your own". To each their own!
  8. This is my Gypsy Skull freshly done. I love her so much. She represents becoming free from the fear of dying. (It was a religious experience that brought me that freedom) I don't think EVERY tattoo MUST have a special meaning, but this one is very meaningful to me. My next will be my life's quote: Torn Between Heaven and Hell. (That one will ALSO have a strong meaning in my life). My husband tatted that across his chest. At first, I was pissed cuz I felt he "stole" my idea and got it FIRST.... But then I realized that he did it to honor me. I have a keeper!
  9. Are you somewhere in the mountains? Is there elevation?? Maybe that's the reason.
  10. Definitely not enough food specially while camping. How many more says??
  11. What do you mean by "trying" to eat healthy? How much do you have at your meals? You shouldn't be hungry ALL the time. Is there a lot of sugar in your diet? If so, try to cut that out. If you're losing inches why are you frustrated? I much rather lose inches (dress size) than see the number on the scale move. If inches are coming off, you should be proud of that!!! And hunny, don't worry about people, they're gonna talk either way. Be proud of what you've accomplished so far and call the office and try to get an earlier appointment. I have never waited 4 weeks for a fill... I always call and move it up. This time I'm gonna wait the complete three weeks the nurses told me to wait cuz I'm losing at a good pace. Sooooo, give them a call and if they don't wanna do it, just lie your ass off and say you're starting a new job (or something) and you won't have time to come in AND you wanna be prepared for the change. Regardless, I think they should see you sooner if like you say, you're hungry all the time. Let us know what they say
  12. I DID IT GUYS!!! Thanks
  13. Is there a place here where we can post miscellaneous, off-topic poo I don't know about?? I don't mean like a RANT or a RAVE.... Just some place where we can talk about non-BANDit life. And btw, where can I add those tickers I see some people have (wonder if that's what it's called) its like a timeline, or a marker of our BMI or starting, current and goal weight that shows up at the bottom of every post the person makes (I think). Where can I add that??
  14. That very patient and nice lady that gives you the fills isn't too smart, though. I don't blame YOU, as you're not a bariatrics specialist and you're learning as you go. But SHE should know better than to have you back & forth making your already difficult journey harder than it should be. You CAN'T keep allowing this to happen. Just imagine if something goes wrong- GOD FORBID!! Sooooo, when you go back in try to speak to the surgeon or request that the surgeon do the fill.
  15. Giiiiiiirrrlll, that's your golden ticket. (I hope you feel better soon, though!!)
  16. Its a temporary reaction for the most part. Your hair WILL grow back unless you're actually going bald, in which case the band would not be the culprit. Hair thins out.... You don't get "bald" (they are two different things) Take my experience, for example.... Since surgery, my hair has IMPROVED a LOT...!!!
  17. The longest stuck epi I've had was 20 minutes (two nights ago). Thankfully, I'm always able to bring it back up. I hold my nose pretty tight so that the contents do NOT come through my nose. I HATE THAT!!
  18. You. An feel it in the general area of your chest and throat.... Sometimes it feels like really stubborn hick-ups
  19. LoL at "kind" remarks. You can almost always BANK ON IT that someone will be a smart-ass with their remarks. Did you already get your fill?? If yes, how was it?
  20. I'm sorry about your loss. May she rest in the shadow of the Almighty. (((HUG)))
