We are lucky at having a very clean facility. We moved into a new building back in Feb. And our custodial staff is very vigilant about keeping the fridge clean and cleaned out.

That is so cool! LMFAO We've got too many health nuts here at work, so the broccoli thing wouldn't work for me.
I've added a new one to my food protection arsenal. I'm going to start telling people that I'm randomly poisoning my food 1 day a week - they get to guess which day. :-)

I think I'm just weird about my food. Things like potluck with food prepared in people's kitchens whom I don't know freak me out. LOL! I like having my own little lunchbox that keeps everything cool. It's so easy to throw it in the freezer too. I don't really even need the ice packs in the bottom. It's a Rachael Ray lunchbag and they make neutral patterns. My husband bought it for me for my bday a couple of years ago and it was one of those things that I didn't know I needed until I had it!

I agree with TES. I wouldn't keep my food in the fridge. It has nothing to do with cleanliness and everything to do with keeping healthy by eating the healthy foods brought from home. Pack your food to keep cold in your own space, not in the communal fridge.

I have a lunchbag that I can freeze in the freezer and then I also put freezer packs in the bottom--keeps my food cold enough that I don't have to put it in the yucky communal fridges.

This is at home, but I tell my son it has broccoli in it, no matter what it is, and he doesn't touch it. It's nice to have this limited time in his life where I can trick him like that.

At week 2, I was only eating Cream of Mushroom soup. And only about 3/4 of a can a day. I just kept a supply in my desk drawer at work and ate it cold.
So you might look at the soup list when you go out to eat. See if there's something you can mash up like potato soup - so it's creamy with no lumps.

    "When to start drinking alcohol?"
It's not mandatory that you start drinking. :-) But I would advise you to start immediately before the surgeon starts cutting! I know it made me feel less tense. :-P

My local Sam's sells the bars and shakes and I love the bars! They're too many calories for me right now but I think the vanilla yogurt flavor is wonderful.

If I buy green beans, I drain them rinse a few times. Place them in a sauce pan, with a cup and a half of low sodium chicken broth, add diced onions and garlic and let them cook.
    Good eats.
    If they are fresh:
Boil smoked turkey neck in chicken broth for about 20-30 mins
Add the cleaned fresh green beans.
    Let cook for 30 mins
    Add garlic and diced onions
    Salt and pepper as needed
    Cook another 20-30 mins
    Yum

I agree, Premier are my favorite too. Costco sells them in an 18 pack for 24 dollars. I have not tried the bars yet, but may pick some up today!

This made me giggle. YOU are brilliant......quick witted and a good story teller. Kudos to you!!! I hate them, I know it's their job, but that's tough!!! There is not a DNC list for businesses, which is too bad. My husband, who is the IT Director for a SW company loves, LOVES messing with them when he gets one.

Premier Protein bars are on sale a Costco right now, 18 for $15.
I like the EAS Rich Dark Chocolate best, but for 30 grams of protein, I do the Premier, too. It's a great way to knock out the bulk of my protein at one time. If you are like me and don't like the oversweetness of either, add a 1/3 cup of dried nonfat milk and blend. It adds protein and cuts the sweet. Makes it thicker, too.

I rely on the Premier Protein to get enough protein. Half way through a carton I stick it in the freezer for 5 or 10 minutes, I like it much better kind of frosty. I got tired of the vanilla easily I wish my Sams Club sold the Strawberry but I am stocked up on Chocolate because I know I will be drinking it for months.
Funny I thought the EAS cost more here, I will have to look into it again.

EAS are isolate and concentrate combination, not pure isolate (I am drinking one at the moment and read the label. Isolate is first then concentrate. I will have to try premier! That's a lot of grams of protein and only 50 calories more.

Are these whey protein isolate? That is what I was told to drink because we can't process the regular protein drinks. I don't know why.

Hrm... Well, I realize this is for comic impact and you don't really want poor people who are only doing their best to survive and put food on the table for their kids to kill themselves... But remember that most of those people are just trying to survive however they can, and they don't necessarily like their jobs either! I worked two jobs in telemarketing when my two kids were young, and they were sucky jobs, but they paid better than anything else available to me and I had two kids to take care of, so....
I wasn't mad at people for hating my calls, but I don't think I needed to kill myself either.
