My name is Teri and I'm 67 years of age and[u] I'm tired of being over-weight[/u]. I look at myself everyday and ask myself "how did I get this way"? I do know, but I use every excuse except the real reason. I like my sweets and carbs. It's not that I eat that much, I just eat the wrong foods. My weight has not only prevented me from doing activies I was looking forward to in my retirement years, I'm very displeased in the way I look in my clothes. I had a partial knee replacement in 2008 and my other knee has recently begun to hurt because of my weight. I decided to investigate the lap band procedure and talked with my physician about it. She recommended Dr. Morris Washington in Conway, SC and said she had several patients that had gone to him and they had very good sucess with the procedure as a weight loss tool. I had my consultation in April to discuss which one of the procedures I was interested in and have since met with the nutritionist for the first of my six month program. After researching the three procedures I decided on the lap band. I'm looking forward to meeting and hanging with a [b][i][u]New Me![/u][/i][/b]
