  1. Fantastic job!
  2. Awesome job! You DO have an awesome attitude!
  3. Big thumbs up! Congratulations on your weight loss and your wedding!
  4. Great job! I LOVE your big smile in the "after" pictures...you can tell how happy you are these days! Keep rocking that weight loss!!!
  5. I love Zumba!!! I go three times/week and its the greatest workout and so much fun. Today it was like Hot Zumba...the room must have been 90 degrees. Ugh. So what are your favorite zumba songs? Does your instructor go with mostly latin music or popular tunes? I love pretty much anything Pitbull does to zumba to... Yeah...I'm at the point where its time to add in the weight training. Starting in January I'm going to add 2 days of crossfit into my workout....that will give me the strength training I need. I'm excited to see the results!
  6. Look at that body...You work out. Just a guess, but I think as long as you keep your hip bones for her pleasure it will all be good.
  7. Miss Carolina Girl! Don't ever doubt you are anything but incredible...you were one of the first to welcome me on this site and make me feel like I belong and no matter WHAT I could DO THIS. I sit back and watch your progress, your inner strength and your grace with awe. I think it speaks volumes that your response is to continue your journey without another thought of said "friend." PS...Tats, hells angels AND WLS...you are one bada$$ lady.
  8. Thanks friends...I'm nowhere near "done"...but its a good start and I can see a finishing line! 50 pounds ago I didn't think I'd ever make it here. Heck...30 pounds ago I didn't think I'd make it here... Love the support! Thanks again!
  9. Well...aren't they just the lucky duck. That was my response to a similar comment about WLS. I can't help but be snarky with rude comments like that. This person should be applauding your every effort to get healthy. I know I am.
  10. Today is my 6 month "bandiversary". I'm exactly 50 lbs down...8 pant sizes from a 24 to a 16. Down from a 2X shirt to an XL/L. I've run 2 5ks, exercise 5x/week, sit with my legs crossed, don't mind photos anymore. My last BP was 114/70. I'm 1/2 way to where I want to be. I feel good. I feel renewed. I heart my lapband!
  11. And you are ROCKING those pants. Awesome.
  12. What a great success post! You can totally do it again...and think of your pants size when you hit the next 100 pounds!!!
  13. I had surgery on April 24th. I had a 4 year old and a 10 month old at that time. Both Csections and recovery from the band was way easier... I had help for about 4 days after surgery, but found myself quite capable to do pretty much anything pretty quickly...I just had to adjust and do it a little slower. I have found the band really really helps with snacky kid foods that I can't eat...and honestly...now I see stuff like goldfish and have no desire to even put one in my mouth. If there is a snacky food that you really love...don't buy it...snacky foods go down pretty easily and its easy to end up "eating through the band" with them. Sometimes mealtimes are hard. My hubby is deployed so its just me and the kids. Often I make them a meal and have a Protein drink for my "dinner" then after I put them to bed make a "lapband appropriate" dinner for myself that is real food. I find that if I don't eat real food instead of just Protein drinks I'm hungry by 9pm. I had surgery on a Wednesday and went back to work on Monday. it was too soon. I also work from home and sit at a desk at home...it was still too soon. I wish I'd taken a full week at least. Hope that helps!
  14. Stunning! I needed this inspiration for today!
  15. You are smaller than you realize! Thats an awesome NSV!!!
  16. Wow! thats an awesome loss! Nice job!
  17. Oh yeah! Coolio! I love hearing that...! Thanks for reading...it keeps ME motivated!
  18. You look amazing! Can't wait to hear about Morocco...I can really identify with the stepping out of your comfort zone bit...its amazing what I will try these days...it really has been a confidence booster!
  19. 1/2 way! What an awesome accomplishment!
