    It's June already

    Glad to hear from you, Gwen. I also have not logged on for awhile. I've been really busy with family. I did get back to the lapband office and got another fill last week. I do think it has helped the hunger, but I still deal with the head thing all the time. Today for expamle I really want to eat, but I'm not hungry. I don't pretty good for the last week. It also has help with goint to wieght watchers againt. I have lost 8 lbs in the last month. Thats not a lot of weight yet, but I hope I cant lose that much again in the next month. I want to be real with myself and not expect to much. I think I alway want it to go away faster then it does. Oh well, I will try the old saying "One day at a time." I'm still making to the gym 5 days a week. So maybe I will whip this some day.

    I haven't written anything in almost a year. I have just given up until a month ago. My knees are so bad that I can't hardly stand it. The doctors tell me that knee replaces probably won't get rid of the pain. They said its my weight. Not sure I believe that completely, but I have to do something. I have had a great 2 weeks, but and you all know there is always a but. I had family in 2 different days this week. Now I have all this left over food. I really want to eat it. I also know I can't eat it and it is such a struggle. I promissed myself that I would not weigh as much next year on my 60th birthday. So I have to not eat this food, but it is calling my name. I hate the struggle. I'm 59 years old and you would think that by now I would have this thing under control. Feel like a failure. Hope I make it through the night.

    I agree with mom lambert. You have gone through a lot this past year, so don't over do it to soon. The energy will come and then you will have time to do it right. Just remember we are here for you.

    Glad to hear from you, Rosi. We always have open arms for everyone. We will always need support, I don't think this will every be easy for any of us. So never feel bad about coming back. We love to hear how everyone is doing. Sounds like you have done really good.

    Well I did it. I swore that I would never every do it again, but I did it Tuesday. I rejoined Weight Watchers. I can't even count the number of times I have join,but it always seem to work for awhile. I have to lose weight if I want my knees to start hurting. They doctors tell me even if I have my knees replaced, that won't take care of the pain. So I have started this adventure once again. I took another leap and call the lapband office and made appointment to go see them. I can't get in till June 15th. Hope all is well with the band. I really don't think there is anything worry it. I haven't gained, but I have stopped losing. We'll see if there is anything in there or if I need a small fill. Don't think I want much as I still have lots of trouble eating most meat. Oh well, just had to vent for a few minutes. Hope everyone is doing good. Have a great holiday weekend.

    April and It Ain't Over

    Sounds as if we are all in the same boat. Trying to excerise and not eat, but as always food is my way of coping with everything. I go to the Y every morning and walk in they pool for a hour or hour and half, but I never lose any weight. I have no idea where I would be if I didn't do this. My knees are so bad, but the doctor won't do anything until I lose more weight, which you would think would have be more motivated. I just get more depress. I have so far pass up a trip to Texas and one Ireland. I just can't do the walking it takes. So keep up the good work and never every give up. God Bless everyone.

    Josie, sounds like you have your head on straight again. You will lose that 10lbs real quick. Hang in there. I'm so glad we have this group and some of us are still around.

    Marchies 3-year bandiversary month!

    So glad to hear from everyone. It sounds like everyone is setting new goals and starting out our 4th year on a good foot. It has been a very busy past month for me. My sister had surgery for cancer again and got really good news. The 39 lymph nodes they took out were all free of cancer. She finally went home last Friday. I did make to the gym this morning. I haven't been much this last month. The ortho doctor doesn't want to do anything with my knees till I lose more weight. So tomorrow I go back to weight watchers. Its the only diet that has every worked for me. I need also to go to the doctor and have my band checked. Its been 18 months or so since I went to see them. We are all still doing good and we all are much better off then we were 3 years ago.

    Janine, Have you tried the new chocolate cheerios. I got some but have tried them. Maybe the would help with the chocolate thing. I love chocolate and this time of year its really hard to get away from it. Good luck. Keep us posted, its so good to here from everyone.

    Just checking in, I've not been good, but not gaining. I have been walking 5 days a week in the pool for anywhere from a hour to a hour and half. Now if I could get the same motivation for dieting I would be doing very good. I just don't understand why I know what to do and just don't do it. Before I know it I have something in my mouth that should be there. I guess if I really wanted to know I would have to spend hours in a doctors office laying on a couch to figure it out. I don't lay down very good either. Hope this fines everyone doing good. Feburary is here and their is hope of warmer weather in our furtures and with everything there is hope. Carol

    Marchin Into 2010!!

    I finally got up my nerve to get back on the scale and see how I did over the holidays. I was surprised. I had gained nothing. I have got started back after two and half weeks off from all the snow storms and cold weather. I made to the "Y" three times this week. I probably over did it yesterday. I walked in the pool for almost 2 hours, not because I wanted the excerise,but because my friend showed up late. We walk and talk alot. So now with no weight gain, it time to be serious with this goal of losing some weight. Hope everyone is doing good. Let us know. Carol

    Janine, Sounds like you are doing good. How much farther to your goal of under 200 lbs. Your right to tell Josie not to remove the band. Sometimes I feel like I have failed,because I have only lost 30 to 40 lbs, but without that band I would probaby be way heavier than I am. Good to hear from everyone, hope to hear from more of Marchies. Carol

    Ok guys, your right we need to recommit to this program. Excerise is my #1 goal, then diet. Thinking of doing weight watchers, as I need the accountablity that that brings. Now if we can just get the weather to get better. Its really hard to go out when it below 20 degrees and the wind is blowing. Glad to hear from you girls. Carol

    A New Year & A New Us

    Thanks Gwen for starting the new month for us. I hope this year is going to better than last year. Its starting out ruff, with all the snow and really cold weather for us.     Did We Do Well?

    Hope everyones Christmas was a good one. We've been stuck in the house from our Christmas eve and Christmas day snow storm. They still have plowed our street and we have a snow drift at the end of the drive that is at least 12 inches to 15 inches deep. My little car won't go throuht it. So I haven't been to the Y since last Wednesday. I feel like a fat pig. I need the Y, I miss it. Can't believe I'ms saying that. I'm thinking of join weight watchers again. I need something to kick start my diet. Have to much food around since no one was able to get out for the holiday. Glad to hear from you Gwen. Hang in there . Carol

    OMG, Gwen you are so right. I have been going to the Y most days, but as of today I still have a lot to do. Seems as if there has been a lot going on, and more seems to get add everyday. Oh well, stay strong, the first of the year is almost here and things will settle down and get back to normal. Have a Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year. Carol

    I'm still here and still hanging in. I did pretty good over thankgiving. I didn't gain I lose 2 lbs. Probaby just Water, but I still felt pretty good about it. Nice to know someone is still around.

    No More Excuses

    Jen, Is so easy to get out of habit of doing something we really don't like to do. But you know the minute you start up again you will ask yourself why you haven't been doing it. You will feel so much better once you start with your excercise again. So get off you butt and get going. You can do this and you will keep the weight under control with all the holiday eating coming up. You will not want to eat if your are excercising. Good luck and keep us posted.     No More Excuses

    Thanks for starting the new thread. I'm trying to make to the gym 4x a week. I've been doing good making 3x a week. Hope to change to 4 all the time. Did pretty good with Halloween this year, didn't do as much damage has I would have in the past. Now all we have to do is get through Thanksgiving. Hope to hear from all of you soon. Keep in touch, it helps alot to keep my moral up. Carol
  24. Thanks Jen for start our new thread this month. We must all be working hard this month. I haven't posted in awhile. Not moving the scale down, but its not going up. Just staying the same. I'm trying to get to the Y 3 or 4 times a week. I hope it kicks in soon. Of course if I would leave the Cookies alone it might help. I bake them myself. I know better to buy them at the store. I also had a piece of my grandson birthday cake. I don't eat cake to often it doesn't like to go down very well, but cookies always seem to fly down without problems. We had our 40th wedding anniversary last week and went out to eat. Did pretty good ate about 1/2 of the 6oz steak and a small baked potatoe. The salad was exceptly good. Didn't go for dessert, didn't have room for that. It was nice day. Hope to hear from everyone soon. Good eating everyone. Carol

    Gwen, Sorry to hear of the lost of your friend. I know its like losing a part of your family. No words will help right now, but I believe she is watching and knows of your pain. Take care and don't let this get you down. Its really easy to slip into old habits when we are down. My prayer are with you. Carol
