Thanks for the advice and opinions. I am going to talk with a nutritionist to come up with a plan that works for mr. I do agree I should value my Dr's advice but there needs to be some type of plan that I can be successful with. I know out of the 20+ years of dieting unsuccessfully the one I know that doesn't work is NO carbs. I need to be patient and remind myself that this is a tool to aid in weight loss and I need to find something that works for me.

I appreciate the answers! When I weighed after surgery I was joking saying that my Dr did the wrong surgery! Lol!
