Although I know the band has been successful for a lot of people, I think it's an evil, soul sucking device that should be banned (get it?). The band doesn't teach us to eat healthy. I could never eat salads, vegetables or meat. Instead we learn to eat the foods that are easiest to get down so we don't spend the night in the bathroom.
I haven't been sleeved yet, but I have no doubt it'll be 100 times more effective than the band.

I have had the band for 9 years and suffered with it as well... I revised to bypass (my personal choice) 2 months ago and even though I had complication, I love it. I ate chicken today and didn't have horrible "stuck" episode! It was amazing! I wish I have done his so many years ago!

I drink soda about once a week. I just shake it up to flatten it a little. I was banded 3/19/2013.

Was banded March 19, had 1cc fill then 2cc fill. And I feel like I can eat a horse:( feeling frustrated.

Hey guys!
I've been perusing these forums more and more lately and I've noticed something disturbing: that anyone who's been banded for a while has had some complication or another- either a slipped band, an erosion, a flipped port, a leak etc...
I bet this is just my imagination, but I'd love to hear from old bandsters who have NOT had any complications with their band

Ok so I went for my first fill yesterday...and may I say I was worried over nothing. My doc put in 1cc he said I was doing great but because I am still feeling restriction when eating he didnt want to over do it by putting in 3ccs. And I am glad he did 1cc because when I got up this morning I could hardly eat lol. I go back in 6 weeks for my next fill.

I wad banded on March 19, & I am so glad I read this post because I went from having no appetitie and having to force myself to eat...to wanting to eat all the time. Now I know what I may be expierencing. I loved the fact I had no appetitie. I didnt want to snack and had no cravings now I feel like I am in the same boat as I was before I was banded...
