  1. I was just banded on Thursday 3/29 and I'm experiencing the same things. I have a lot of discomfort in the esophogus. It feels painful like passing a "hard" burp. It's rather uncomfortable. Other than that I'm doing great. I've cut back on pain meds, and been able to walk on the treadmill. As for the pills, my doc has me crushing all pills for the first three weeks. I'm also on full liquids for the first three weeks.
