  1. Thank you for your reply! It opened my eyes more
  2. So I got my first fill (1.4 cc added for total of 2.4 cc) on July 5th and I still don't feel any different. Can I request another fill or should I give it more time? What good is this tool if I'm still only using my will power? Grrr
  3. So I had my first fill (1.4cc for a total of 2.4cc) last week and honestly I feel NO difference. I was expecting to feel more restriction and I'm disappointed. How am I supposed to go another month before my next fill?!?! Ugh, didn't think it would be this hard. If I had will power I wouldn't be in this situation!
  4. I know, on post op day 4 I was still on Clear liquids where I read that some people are eating. Makes me wonder did we have the same surgery lol. I couldn't even think about food for like 2 weeks.
  5. Awesome, thanks! Just got back....put 2.4cc in (had nothing before). I'm excited to see a change, hopefully feel more restriction. Surprised to see 2.8lbs loss though but I'll take it! I can also resume regular exercise which is awesome!!! Thanks for support
  6. So I'm scheduled for my fill at 11:30 - what time should I have my last meal before they do the fill or doesn't it matter?
  7. Glad I'm not alone either - I was banded 5/21 and only felt restriction once real bad minus the few days after surgery. I ate a donut today - not proud but I did and it went down fine. My first fill is 7/5 and I'm trying real hard to follow the rules just sometimes I slip up.
  8. I had surgery 5/21/13 - feeling great and want to start working out. I don't see my surgeon again until 7/5. My question is when is it ok to start working out and do you think using the Ab Circle Pro machine would be ok?
  9. I had surgery 5/21/13 - feeling great and want to start working out. I don't see my surgeon again until 7/5. My question is when is it ok to start working out and do you think using the Ab Circle Pro machine would be ok?
  10. I had such bad nausea and I attributed it to the pain meds, same thing happened with my gall bladder surgery so they put me on something different....well didn't work again. I stopped taking my pain meds day 2 believe it or not and also had the fluid taken out of the band - instantly felt better. Good luck.
  11. Wow congrats, that's amazing.
  12. Thank you for posting this!
  13. Thanks everyone. I did call the office yesterday twice, left two messages and no one called me back So I ended up going through the scheduling department and moving it out until July 5th.....so bummed and hope I can control these hunger pains until then
  14. I am in transition from one insurance to another, I was supposed to have my first fill appt tomorrow but I haven't heard from my new insurance yet. My question is does anyone know what a fill costs out of pocket? If I reschedule this I can't get seen until July 5th Thanks.
  15. I was banded 5/21 and although I never vomited, I had major dry heaves so 2 days post op my surgeon removed the 3cc he put in during surgery, said it was due to inflammation and swelling. I go for my first fill Thursday and I think I'm ready for it because I seem to be hungry after eating only 1/2 cup meals.
  16. Ok thanks. I know they'll tell me at the office but just wanted an idea ahead of time.
  17. I have my first fill on the 13th, what can I expect as far as food restrictions if any?
  18. You say you were liquids for 3 days after your fill, is that normal or just what you could do? I go for my first fill June 13th and I was wondering if I would be able to eat right away or go back to the whole liquid diet again.
  19. Shoulder and neck pain are most likely from gas - Gas X works great and you can also use a heating pad. For me my appetite didn't really come back until the 2nd week but important to stay hydrated and get your protein in. I used my leftover medifast shakes during the first week. I lost 14 pounds in the first week. Good luck!
  20. You're definitely not alone! I also get the burps and I know I over do it when I get instant reflux pains, very uncomfortable. I have a 10cc band - I started with 3cc at surgery but two days post op they had to remove the fluid because I was dry heaving like crazy.
  21. I was banded 5/21 and I know this is what's called bandster hell but come on! I'm hungry more than I should be even though I'm getting in all my protein and eating that first in hopes to get full quicker. I don't have any fluid in my band and my first fill is June 13th. I've already gave in and had some unhealthy snacks here and there that I feel sooooo guilty for, not to mention got instant discomfort. I know it's more of a mental issue than physical hunger issue, ugh this is so hard. I hope after my first fill I will start to feel better. Thanks for listening.
  22. That's awesome, thanks for sharing! I have never seen these.
  23. Congrats!! Can't wait to get there myself
  24. My surgeon didn't say anything about this, I'm going to have to ask him at my next appointment. That's definitely a nice thing to have when ordering at restaurants, thanks!
