im on day 5 of clear liquid and i am starving! up until today the protein shakes have been enough for me but today my so hungry that im in pain *stomach cramping* is it too early to start pureed soups?

Today is day 6 and my emotions are all over the place. I'm happy because I FINALLY get to eat something other than a protein shake! It has been a long road. On the other hand I am TERRIFIED to step on a scale. I have not weighed myself since surgery day. *302* I was shocked to learn that I actually lost weight BEFORE I got banded. I've struggled my entire adult life and half my childhood with my weight. I keep thinking its too good to be true. What if I still weigh 302 or even worse what if I GAIN weight?!?

Thanks everyone. Since I don't own a scale I think I'm gonna go to my aunts house (who had gastric bypass) and at least weigh myself once a week.

I live in Baytown I just recently got banded *4/24/13*

I guess the band is really working because i haven't gotten hungry yet. That doesn't mean that i dont have the urge to eat tho. I guess its all in my head. I'm not really in that much pain. It only hurts when I try to get out of bed and walk around and stuff which i have to do often. I tried a different protein shake and i think its too thick because it hurts when i try to drink it. I'm gonna try a different protein shake and see how it goes. I might just be that the shake is too thick because when i drink water or some other kind of 'thin' liquid i be okay. I'm complaining now but i know in the long run it all will be worth it!

Congrats on the new baby and band! I was banded April 24th as well!

So far this weekend is going great. I woke up this morning and I was able to get out of bed without that much help. I took some gas-x last night so the bloated feeling is slowly going away. And the best part.... I STILL don't have an appetite!

I'm on day 3 and I've been drinking nothing but liquids and I feel so bloated is this normal?

I try to walk as much as I can. They told me to get up and walk around every 45 minutes so that's what I been doing.

I feel ok I guess. As long as I'm sitting down I'm good but as soon as I get up to walk around I be in so much pain. The good this is I don't be hungry which is a total shock to me.

My stomach is kinda sore on the left side and my throat hurts a little bit but other than that I feel ok.

My mama is here to help me with my boys *Ages 4 & 5* so I been resting.

No I don't feel hungry but I've been sipping tea because my throat is sore.

The left side of my stomach is sore also. I've been walking around the house a little bit also. It's hard for me to pay down too so I been sitting up in the bed.

On my post-op diet sheet it lists tea so it might be ok. I'll call to make sure and congrats! I had surgery today also *4/24/13*

I had my surgery today and I'm at home resting. Dr. Hollis is soo nice and caring. He came and spoke to me before surgery to see how I was and answer all my questions and also afterwards. I'm in a little bit of pain but its not all that bad. Overall it was a good experience Oh and I'm down 9 pounds from the pre-op diet!!

Tommorow is the big day for me!! I'm super excited and EXTREMELY nervous! lol Is there anyone who can tell me what to expect or NOT to expect tomorrow?
