Yeah it's all liquid! 3 Protein Drinks a day and sugar free drinks in between.

Hey everybody! Started day 1 of my 2 week liquid diet! Massive headache today which I'm sure is from lack of sugar but I'm pushing through!!
Surgery date is 16 July!! Getting super excited!!
I don't find myself nervous yet at all...is that normal?? Lol

Iam banded. Overall I'm not feeling to bad . I feel very bloated in my upper stomach area and my doctor reassures me it is from the air the put in during surgery. I should be going home sometime this morning.

Pre op diet starts Wednesday ... Can't believe my surgery is in 1 week! Ahhhhhhh super excited!!

I got my call yesterday and I'm scheduled for 16 July!!! 2 weeks of liquid diet starts on the 2nd! Super nervous!!!! Very excited but hope and pray I can make it through the liquid diet beforehand with no problems and not be too grumpy!!

Good luck! I too am getting banded today. Surgery was originally moved from 8am to noon and then moved to 3. Now I have to be there at 4. The waiting is killing me not to mention I am thirsty and hungry!

I am 10 days post op today n my lap band issues are fine. Barely any soreness, I can sleep in any position I want. No problems at all. Able to get up/down with ease. I recommend take your own cooler with your allotted foods/liquids.

Yes EKG blood n chest X-ray at least that was what I had done Monday ... And I met my very good looking anesthesiologist lol
Ugh flying yes I hate that squish feeling jet blue seats way more comfortable then some. Hoping I won't have to squish when we go to Vegas in September
As far as liquid diet I can have 6 shakes so I space them out and drink 5 a day and lotsa of Water. I just say there is light at the end of the tunnel and I can chew in August lol
We got this and we will be celebrating our weight loss and non scale victories like no squishing on planes shortly

My advice is to make sure you are prepared for the pre-op diet in your mind. Most of the people on here have had a 2 week "liver shrinking" diet..or "detox" diet.
You will have all the other things mentioned above, pre-op testing, etc.
Congratulations! It was a long haul for me to get my approval, I cried when I finally got it! I am 6 weeks out from having my surgery, I have lost 50lbs! It IS exciting!! What a life change.

Yes these are normal! I had to do them as well. I her my last appt next week then ill be scheduled for surgery. But yeah don't worry!! I think it's good that your doc is taking all the precautions necessary to ensure this will work for you and you'll be healthy during the process!
