70 lbs today
- someone you dont really know
Bet that felt great!- Confused, upset
It's okay. We all get off track at some point. The important thing is getting back on track right away. Be careful and good luck. Follow my Lap Band blog at www.biscuitsandexcuses.blogspot.com- Any idea how to get over a plateau?
When ever I need a boost, I do low carb, like really low carb for a few weeks. I actually do the low carb thing all the time now. However, when I used to count calories, limiting my carbs always gave me the boost I needed. I talk about low carb eating on my lap band blog. He is always with you! You will be fine! Let us know how it goes. Follow my Lap Band blog at www.biscuitsandexcuses.blogspot.com- Does this really work?
Thank you to everyone for being so nice and supportive. Usually when someone doubts the band or has anything negative to say about it, people get really defensive and get a little nasty! But here everyone was encouraging! Follow my Lap Band blog at www.biscuitsandexcuses.blogspot.com- Surgery tomorrow
How did it go? How are you feeling? Follow my lap band blog www.biscuitsandexcuses.blogspot.com- Does this really work?
Don't give up. I hated my band at first. I thought "is this thing even working?". But now that I have really put my heart and soul in it and am following all the rules, (not saying you're not) and started running, I am starting to love my band. It keeps me from over eating. It keeps me from being hungry all the time. It doesn't keep me from eating junk and that was something I had to work on myself. Plus, you don't even have fluid in there yet so it is probably not doing much. When your doctor gets your fill right and you start getting the hang of what you can eat , then you too will love your band. Good Luck on your journey! Oh forgot to say. I think string cheese is a great snack.- weighing oneself
I think that if weighing everyday is discouraging you when you see your weight, then yes it is a bad idea. However, if you can look at that number and know that it is just a number then it is okay. I usually weigh everyday and if I am up a pound, I don't let it derail me. I just think "I know I am doing what I am supposed to do so the the weight has to come off". Good luck on you journey. Good for you! Good luck! Follow my lap band blog www.biscuitsandexcuses.blogspot.com- Stuck but never BP'd
That is an awful feeling. I am sure it went down. Sometimes if I sit up really straight and forcefully swallow a gulp of water, then I can literally feel it going down. It may be in my head, but it works. Follow my lap band blog www.biscuitsandexcuses.blogspot.com- Just Starting Questions
I have heard that BCBS has one of the best acceptance rates. I was self pay. My surgeon had to be paid before the surgery. My hospital bill was different. My hospital bill was $19,000. But since I was self pay, if I paid it with in 30 days then they cut in in half. I ended up paying somewhere around $9,000 to just the hospital. Good Luck with your journey! Thanks. He just gave me some steriods and anti inflamatory medicine to try and shrink my stomach back. I have been checked since and everything is fine.- Feeling weak on pre-op diet
It is tough, but you can do anything for a week! Good Luck. When you are feeling rough, just think about what lies ahead! Follow my Lap Band blog www.biscuitsandexcuses.blogspot.com- Pre op steps to take, do I need a referral?
I am pretty sure you need a referall for insurance. You do not need one for self pay. Good Luck. Follow my Lap Band blog www.biscuitsandexcuses.blogspot.com- Just had an upper GI. Confused now..
He said that it was esophageal dilation. He said that my band had been too tight for a long time (i lost my insurance so didnt go back for a long time) and I had been eating too much. Since my band was so tight the food had no where to go but to pile up in my esophagus and stretch it. He took all the liquid out of my band ang gave me a few prescriptions to take and it cleared up. www.biscuitsandexcuses.blogspot.com- 2nd chance. Can't fail again.
This is my second go of the band too! We can do it! Good Luck. We are all going to make mistakes. We are recovering addicts! Follow my Lap band blog www.biscuitsandexcuses.blogspot.com- Anyone here have a band overe their bypass?
I can tell the biggest difference when I drink with my meals too! Good luck to you. Follow my Lap band blog www.biscuitsandexcuses.blogspot.com - someone you dont really know
