Dragonfly8a reacted to MsFab1988 for a gallery image, Lap band revised to Gastric Sleeve! (NEW ME!)
During weightloss, people start starring at u. Everywhere u go, all eyes are on u as people become shocked to the drastic changes. In the beginning, this was very difficult for me as my body fat use to protect me from all eyes. I started to feel vulnerable during my weight loss phase...EXTREMLY uncomfortable with stares and comments...But now, I got the hang of it! Give them a warm smile, give them a sexy turn, give them a fierce walk & most importantly, give them real hope...Can't blame me for my cat walk lmao

Dragonfly8a reacted to formerfatgirl for a gallery image, Goodbye, LapBand.
RIP.
It's been quite the journey.
I was banded on January 10, 2011. I weighed 275 pounds that day.
In September of 2012, my band had slipped and I underwent emergency surgery to unbuckle it temporarily.
After a great deal of thought, I made the decision to "rebuckle" the band after gaining 40 pounds.
On May 17, 2013, I went under the knife for the 3rd time and was "re-banded."
Things seemed to be going well, but suddenly took a turn for the worst.
I couldn't deny that I had the same pains as before.
I couldn't eat much food or find the energy to get out of bed.
On August 8, 2013, I had emergency surgery to remove my LapBand for good.
Now that the weight is off, I need to keep it off. FOR GOOD.
I'm petrified of failing, but I will not make it an option.
I've come too far to go back to my old ways.
Band or no band - I have, I can, and I will conquer obesity.
Thank you, bandsters, for all of the love, support, and encouragement you have given me over the last few years.
I was granted another shot at life.
Thank you for being a part of my journey.

Dragonfly8a reacted to lapband82709 for a gallery image, I did the Master Cleanse/Lemonade Diet for 10 days and dropped 17 pounds
The first pic is before the diet and the second is after. I've gained 2 pounds back, but I'm ok with that. A lot of hard work and self control for those 10 days. If anyone is interested, go to lemonadediets.org for any and all information.

Dragonfly8a reacted to lapband82709 for a gallery image, At Goal!!! and then some
My original goal was 145 and now I'm at 143! I think I can squeeze out a few more pounds...only 3 more and then to focus on toning everything up. Hard to believe this girl ever weighed 285+ pounds. <IMG class=bbc_emoticon alt= src="http://cdn.lapbandtalk.com/public/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif">
