  1. Carolinagirl! That is downright mean!
  2. Do you have someone lined up to help you for the first week? Hubby? Anyone? Moms are pretty amazing stepping up to the plate when it comes to their babies, but you need to think about a back up plan for the what if's hon. Good luck and best wishes!
  3. Hi! I think there are many helpful folks on this site, but they will need a little info if you want specific info, like what city you live in... Good luck! Exciting journey!
  4. Great job! You look fantastic!
  5. Standing on my head singing Yankee Doodle dandy... LMAO!
  6. I do find , food taste different. Items I craved prior to surgery, I don't even think about now. It sure is an interesting trip! What my doc says, eat your one cup of food per meal. Depending on what I am eating, or even the day, I may be able to finish that one full cup, but usually, I get that quiet burp or mild hic cup, that let's me know I am finished. You too will find your sweet spot, it took some time for me to learn how to tune into my body signals, and not listen to the voice in my head. It will be fun to read what other people answer to your question! Thanks for asking.
  7. Can you believe your eyes?? You are looking fantastic! When my own progress slows to a crawl, I think of how you stay the course and keep on keeping on! The difficult days do pass. But, how inspiring these pictures are! Thank you. Have a really terrific day!
  8. If they require a year waiting period, they have to know when the start date of your doctor supervised time begins. ??
  9. You may be able to return your unopened boxes to the office. Let them know what the problem is, they may have some recipe suggestions. If you can't drink them, not only is it wasted money, but it sure leaves you open to failing your pre op diet. It's a good time to have open honest communication with your doctors office, this is a long term relationship!
  10. With bmi, and categories of obese , overweight, normal,... Does anyone know if they factor in age? Is it just height weight? I am concerned that what I see in the mirror is a distorted view of myself, something I have been influenced by, my entire life. Sorry, not trying to hijack your thread.. Just made me think about other factors... Anyone?
  11. Nice when your whole team works together hand in hand! Love it!
  12. Relax sweetie! Nothing to worry about! You will do great, see you on the bandside! Big Hug!
  13. Happened to me too. Sip sip. Try some protein water when you do sip.. Sneak it in whenever you can! I left a capped bottle next to me, even in bed so I could sip constantly.welcome! Good luck to you!
  14. Always look for the positive! Very happy mine is quite available to the needle!
  15. Stress, tension, flying... All make my band tighter. If I have to eat out, I have learned... Start with soup! Good luck on the job interview!
  16. That's hysterical ! I will never hear that song the same way again! LMAO! Me too... No more spicy unless dairy (cream cheese, dressing, sour cream) is near by to take away the heat! By the way, much better than water!
  17. Hope you only wear them for a month! Good luck!
  18. Sometimes appetizers, sometimes eat a bite or two off hubby's plate, love soups! There has been a learning curve for sure! Initially, I would take my own to go container so I could immediately clear half of the plate. I hate it when servers or companions ask if there is something wrong with the food? When you say no, it usually does not end there,,, Or if you don't want anything to drink, it really bothers everyone. I am working hard to not be a people pleaser!
  19. I want to know HOW he did it! Never have I heard of 38 lb loss in a week!
  20. I love this! I have a belt rack on the back of my closet door, with just about every belt I have owned in the last 20 years. Just hanging there, taunting me... I can't wait to start eliminating them, size by size! Thanks for the smile today!
  21. Congrats! Excited for you!
  22. If it is not right, of course you should call them and get this situation corrected. Take a deep breath, stop thinking about being a bother BECAUSE YOU ARE IMPORTANT. Now. Go pick up the phone! You will feel better soon! Listen to your doc regarding your diet after the adjustment. Good luck sweetie!
  23. My experience has been that there are days when the band feels tighter or looser without a recent fill, it seems like the same thing applies with a fill. I might be fine the day of, even two days later, and then out of nowhere, the fickle finger of band fate strikes! Good luck! Hope you get relief soon!
