  1. Well, I had my surgery at age 64 (I feel like a 30 yr old however lol). The ONLY reason I have found it harder to lose weight is because I am partially disabled and walk with a cane and I have equilibrium problems due to two brain surgeries I had in 1981.I'm also a past stroke victim that left me with hemiparesis. That being said, other than my physical limitations I'm having no problems. I count my calories and try to walk as much as I can but I've had no problems, I'm a slow loser but the scale keeps going down and that's what counts as far as I'm concerned.
  2. I'm surprised that yogurt and milk are considered for a pre-op diet. I was on Optifast and it was fine.
  3. You should be fine. I wouldn't be so hard on yourself.
  4. Wow, what a difference! Good for you!
  5. ROTFL guy! Yup, it sure is a clear liquid.
  6. Good job! Do you have a goal in mind?
  7. Good for you! Keep up the good work!
  8. I feel your frustration Jimmy XXL. But like Terry said, doctors have seen it all and I'm sure there are people lurking on this forum who can't admit that they're going through the same situation. You have our support on this forum. There is good advice on this forum. We're not doctors but most of us have been banded or are about to be banded so we learn from each others experiences. Missy (ms.73) is a wealth of information and I read everything she posts. Hang in there buddy and lots of (((hugs))) for you!
  9. You cracked me up because I'm still wearing the same clothes as well and I'm down 55 lbs so I know where you're coming from lol.
  10. My port flipped, I had pain and it was a simple day surgery fix. I no longer have pain. Good luck to you.
  11. No, not having that happen to me.
  12. You looked beautiful before but now you look stunning! Congratulations.
  13. Your welcome Alisadiane and welcome you to the lapband family, hood luck on the process of getting banded :-)
  14. Well, I don't know but alcohol does not increase my appetite at all. I haven't had any problems with my band either so I would say everybody's body is different. I don't drink often but I include it in my calorie count and I don't get hungry.
  15. I'm always hungry after a fill. I don't eat after midnight the night before and don't have anything until after the fill. Then I usually have a clear soup immediately after. I'm OK with that.
  16. Congratulations and good luck!
