odetteNYC reacted to bigcountryab in 7 Month Update - 102lbs Down with pics Half Marathon Training
Hey there guys just wanted to give a seven month update on my journey to this point. I started out at around 300lbs with high blood pressure and severe sleep apnea. I have lost around 102 lbs depending on the day and what I had to eat the day before. I workout on a three day rotation. Day 1 I do my running, which consist of a 5-8 mile run depending on how I feel. Day 2 is my lifting day, I try to incorporate fundamentals of crossfit and p90x. I only use body weight for my lifting such as pushups, situps, pullups, dips, because if I lift heavy I will put on weight. I do use some small dumbells for curls and triceps. Day 3 is my rest day, and then I just go back to Day 1. My goal is to run a half marathon by October which seems pretty attainable at this point. My Diet consist of mostly Proteins and vegetables, but I have learned that if I don't intake enough carbs my blood sugar drops way to low due to all the exercise. For Breakfast I do greek yogurt fruit and granola, lunch is usually grilled turkey, chicken, or fish with vegetables and a cup of long grain brown rice. On days I run I might have more rice so I don't fee bad during the run. For Snacks I will roll up deli meat and a slice of cheese with a little mustard to dip it in. I might have two or three of these a day. For dinner I pretty much follow the same pattern as lunch. Before bed I sometimes have a granola bar or some more yogurt and fruit especially if I ran that night. If anyone has any questions feel free to private message me.

Hey fellow sleevers, down 93lbs with 15 more lbs to go. Am 6 months out - no complications except a dodgey gallbladder that I refuse to get taken out! No hair loss, no stalls, and minimal lose skin so far.
Attached is a cheesy bikini pic that I was going to save to compare to my one year when I have abs of steel and a killer tan to match - but what the hell. I was really curious to see others post weight loss to see scaring and lose skin etc but they are really hard to find! So heres mine! Please note that this is post c-section of a 9lb baby 11 months ago!
If any are brave enough to share theirs please do - I need inspiration!

YES, you are going to die.
I'm pretty sure this will not be the cause, and hopefully it will be quite some time before that day comes.
There really isn't much you do at this point. It will pass through your system like it has in the past. You'll be fine.

I was also sleeved on may 6th . I've lost 12 pds also and the past 2 days me weight has been the same . I'm getting rid of my scale TODAY every time I go in the bathroom I weigh myself . I don't wanna go crazy about the numbers I know how I am that can discourage me. We gotta hang in there it's barely over a week.

There will be days, and even weeks where you don't lose anything, and they are normal. I recommend NOT weighing yourself every day, as it can drive you batty when you hit stalls.

odetteNYC reacted to Fallenangel2904 in 6 months post op -98lbs so far
Today is officially my 6 month surgiversay. I'm down 98lbs (wanted so badly to make it an even 100 but didn't quite get there lol) I'm happy with my progress thus far though I know now is the time I need to step up the exercise since I admit I haven't excersied much at all. But now that I'm down quite a bit and moving around is easier I can actually do it without feeling like I'm going to die.
Surgery has changed my life honestly. I have had some emotional issues the last few months and I don't think I expected those things. Surgery is such an emotional process, more then I ever imagined. I won't lie to you pre ops, before surgery I kinda thought I would hgave surgery and all my issues would go away and my life would magically be amazing. Not quite the case. I still had my emotional baggage and even more so after surgery, but I am working on them. All in all though, I am SO happy and proud of my progress. I has changed my life for the better. Before surgery my health was going down hill very fast at only 23 years old. At my heaviest I was nearing 400lbs. I do not know my exact high weight but it was darn close to the 400 pound mark. I couldn't really walk more then a block with out feeling like I was going to passout. I was in SO much physical pain, more then I ever admited to. My knees hurt so badly (I have had several knee injuries over the years) I couldn't LIVE life anymore. I live in NYC and as you can imagine mobility is your life line and I had outgrown this city. I didn't have this surgery for vanity, though of course wearing smaller clothes and being able to shop anywhere you want is a huge plus, but I did it for health. I never, and still don't really strive to be a size 6. I want to be a size healthy.
I was 379 at my recored heaviest and in a size 26/28. Today I am sitting at 281 and am in a size 18/20. I am still big by most peoples standards but where I am now is day and night. I have never been less then 270 in my adult life and that is only 11 pounds from now. Excited to get there. I am a work in progress and am going to keep going and see where I wind up.
This was way longer then I meant it to be lol. Now for pictures- the real reason you all are here haha.

Take it easy, he only had a bite and did it impulsively. He didn't go out and have a full meal. It is easy sometimes to forget that you have had the surgery. I came in from cutting grass one day and had a huge drink of Water, totally not thinking and was hurting pretty good. It happens...
