    Soup recipes

Make your own soups, if you have a blender you can purée them. I saluted a little diced ham, steamed some broccoli and blended that down with some chicken both, or saluted spinach with 2 spoonfuls of white beans and dive tomato, put in a blender and you have minastrone soup. I use a lot of fresh veggies. You can always google purée meals and get creatative. I got tired of the Campbell soups after a week.

    Back to work

I see a lot of ppl going back to work 3-5 days, these is surgery and time should not be an issue. I took Family Leave for two weeks, which does not mess with my vacation time. Or short term disability. Do any if you guys have these at your job. I'm 5 days post- op and still have some pain but I haven't taken pain killers in two days. My sites are very itchy, what can I do about that?

    just browsing thru in thoughts

    A lot of misspelled words.
  10. NurseKelly I'm a nursing assistant. I too took two weeks off, I'm hoping that's enough time although if these stri-strips ( not sure if I spelled that right) don't full off before then I'm not going back. I work 11-7a on Peds and I'm the only nursing assistant, don't think it will work for me
  11. Oh ok, I guess they can tell by the blood work, my doctor told me I had a small liver which is way I only have 3 incision sites.
  12. @ B-52, I'm in Morristown and had it done at Morristown Medical Center. My Doctor was Nick Bertha he was very nice.
  13. I live in NJ, for a lap band my Dr. Only required a 24hr clear liquid diet for this procedure. Did any of your Dr's say why some if you had to be on a week long liquid diet? I was just wondering, I understand for a sleeve or gastric banding to clean out all the pipes. But just for a band o_0. Just asking. :-)
  14. Boy oh boy, have not been back to sleep since 1am. Up and down to the bathroom all morning. On the upside pain is very minimum, only sore on the port side which was to be expected. Taking meds and drinking lots of fluids. Still can't believe I'm banded, looking forward to everyday and more progress.
